[nothing] That was easy. I don't even have to install the parts.

Hey rice, is that db air going on your butcher (I seem to recall you had one)? I wouldn't mind a review after a few rides, my rp23 is just kinda Meh on that bike.

nah, its going on my M9 and the first ride will be Sunday.
what dont you like about the RP23? is it the Adaptive Logic version? ive found the shock to be pretty damn good but a DB Air would spice it up a bit. stiction is almost non-existent on the RP23 i felt

I think I just need to do a rebuild on it. It is just kind of dead feeling in the back end. Probably doesn't help that I abuse that poor bike 3-4 times a week.

Front Range, dude...
Looking for a new hardtail...but will admit to searching FleaBay for a cool deal on last years (Or the year befores) cool stuff...

Leaning towards a Cube or some other Euro brand that will look cool back on US trailage.

Tied up in the basement
It's like a giant birthday party for my bikes this spring:

for my Giant Anthem 29er--rebuilt fork with new stanchions that somehow got REALLY chewed up in my first 9 months of riding it (Fox is replacing chewed up stanchions under warranty & rebuilding) and new handlebars & grips.

for my Cannondale RZ 120--new Stan's Arches wheels, Nobby Nic tires, new (wider) green handlebars, to, of course, match the paint scheme on the frame, and a new (longer) stem. Oh, and I came across a pair of green and black eggbeater candies on Amazon.com, so I think I might order those as well. I switched to candies from spds on my Anthem over the winter, and I really like them!!

I spent the first 5 years of my mtb'ing career on a basic Rockhopper, beat the crud out of it, sold it to another newb for her to beat the crud out of, so now it's time for me to go nuts with blinging out the two bikes I bought last year. Now that I know what I really want/like. :thumb:

Are we really talking about a needle bearing that replace the DU bushing in Fox Shox and the tools to do the job???

How does it perform so far, any info??

Thanks
You are correct. jdcamb told me about it. I just installed it this afternoon, so I can't comment on how it performs, but installation went without a hitch.
You sir created some new needs in me so...

This came in yesterday, I figure since I was ordering, better make a substantial one:

And I got that since last fall but didn't install it yet, season was over for me when I got it:

I am a bike mechanic. My chit should be perfect. I am so broke as to be barely holding on. Sad actually.
I have some old cable housing I could send you... I have a broken X0 I took off my old Kona I could send you too.

Don't go pulling a Drunken Ninja on me though!

Superlight spokes, lighter than DT Revolution and supposedly much stronger.

Also some AM bike wheels but I forgot to take a photo.

Not parts per se but also bike related.

I presume they haven't managed to steal the tech for BB30 yet.

Echo has an interesting ISIS/Spanish BB hybrid.

the bearings definitely had problems, the bigger issue was always the spline interface.

but come on, they can figure out FFW but they can't figure out a larger OD press fit spindle and outboard bearings?

Interference with front freewheel. There is just enough room with a 128mm isis. With external bearings, you would need to move it out 5-10mms and then the chainline would be unusable.
