Morning. It is finally effin Friday! Tonight we'll be shopping for a new propane grill. Saturday I'll be installing a ceiling fan in the baby's room and hopefully I can figure out how to put that stupid crib together. Hoping that on Sunday I can go for a mtb ride and maybe even relax for a while.

Storm rolled through last night. Pretty good light show came with it. Went to bed early, left the window open and listened to the rain, slept better last night than I have in months.

Mornin all. Had a friend over for dinner last night and he took a few headshots of me for all these various job sites.

Got into a verbal altercation leaving the grocery store. Came to a stop at a T intersection, the first car to do so mind you, and as I took a left the guy on my right goes right through the stop sign, speeds around me, and proceeds to block me in and ask me if I was trying to be a tough guy and teach him a lesson. I told him he blew a stop sign. He said, "it's a parking lot!" then retreated back into his vehicle. Puzzling.

What friday? Got a ton of work and will try to do as much as possible before leaving to Maribor on 29th. Especially since I plan to do some work for our local bike mag there. Super busy but also super happy.

Moving day today. Moving from Denver all the way over to the other side of Denver. After that, going to the college lacrosse tourney at sports authority field tonight to see Virginia/Penn and Denver/Duke. It would e cooler to see my old team, Syracuse.

Don't die!

I'll tell you whut.

Where are you thinking about going riding? Will committing to lead a group of out of towners solidify your riding plans? :D I'd like to check out Tryon at some point.
Crombie1 and I are gonna take one of our friends out on some fairly easy single track trails cause he wants to start getting into mtn biking. You'd get bored with these trails pretty quick. This weekend probably wouldn't work for riding Tryon for us. We should definitely plan for another weekend sometime since we didn't get a chance to ski with you this winter. Another weekend we should ride Tryon or Dryer.

'K. Sounds like a plan. I just have this problem with lack of short term memory cells, and I forget that I want to ride all these other places, and before I know it, it's snowing, and I'm like, "Dammit. I totally wanted to ride those trails this season with so and so, and I never got around to it!" Kind of like how I've been meaning to go out and ride the SMBA trails w/ Treesaw.... for the past 3 years.

So we need to remind each other. Also, lif you guys ever want to make the trek down here to ride Shindagin, I would be happy to be your tour guide.

Yeah we'll have to try and make it out your way some time as well. There is also a fairly new set of trails right near Tryon called West Bay Park. It's run by the same guys as Tryon and it's a lot of fun technical single track. It's also a little less pedaling up hills than Tryon which is nicer for us lazy lift junkies :D

yea but pushin' up those tryon hills gives you some of the most vertical in the area. and some of the steepest. esp over by the landfill.

Cold week in NYC I hate cold weather. Mission for the rest of the week is to get on the bike and I will get my DH bike out of winter storage.

In honor of those brave, while police officers who, 20 years ago today, had to defend themselves from a rabid negroid named Rodney, I am going to spend the day beating all of the coloreds that I encounter.

Oh c'mon... I was just joking. (I really hope nobody took my post as being serious)--- But I did lol at the stormfront mention.

On a serious note-- 20 years later and I still can't believe they acquitted some of the officers.

longest. week. evar.

Good day.
Work sucked balls for the past few days (months?), went to the local COMBA meeting last night, had a few beers, won some raffle schtuff, watched Inside Out, and walked home in the rain.

I thought I was having a friend come visit this weekend, but that is no longer the case :hmm: so I guess I will look forward to the 3 'R's this weekend: relaxing, riding, and beer.

Showing my super-effective boss how to use his iphone.

That was 45 mins well spent...

First week back at work with the new kid is almost over.

Pro-tip: I think planning for anything less than a month off for such an event is teh weaksauce.

In other news, scored a supersweet set of Spitfires from the 5.10 fairy this week. Not sure if I'm going to have the opportunity to test them out this weekend...

I just decided this second that I'm leaving early today.
