Front Range, dude...
Springtime in Germany has brought on bike weather for the gromms. Picked up a used Katarga "Milwaukee" (Frau likes it because she is from Milwaukee...) scoot for my little guy yesterday. XT drive train, Pulstar hubs, Mavic hoops...needs some TLC and elbow grease (Has been garage bound since the previous kid outgrew it...), but he has been quasi-vested in the rebuild process. Picking up parts already...new HS (Dia Comp DiaTech=garbage...) and looking for a decent used fork to replace the old Judy it has, then throwing in some Flak Jacket housings, new rubber and a token carbon/ti piece somewhere (My thing...). Plus, double bonus in that I can buy new tools! I think I am more excited about it then he is so far, but hope to have it fully operational by his b-day next month. Looking forward to getting dirty with him soon...he told me once that he could race bikes, so maybe this is the start of something big?!

Now gotta find the little girl a non toy bike...

Will take pics, stand by and wish me luck!

The conversion from toy Wally World bike to "real" bike is tough. My daughter wants to keep up with her brother, but is hung up on coaster brakes...I may just go find her an entry level BMXer...

I meant to post another pic of what he is on now but never got around to it.

I bought an SE lil Wildman from Amish Matt on here, it was a HUGE improvement for both my son and my girlfriends daughter. Next they both got on Haro Mini BMX bikes, another big improvement for them both.

Here's Lucas riding his bike to school last May on his Specialized Hot Rock. He outgrew that one and is on a super heavy hand me down free Huffy Rock It now. He doesn't like it as much because it's so heavy, but he does like that we can go faster this year :) we were talking about shifting today and he wants a "Shifter Bike" as he put it, now :)

No pics, but my 9yo is running a 24" Kona Shred I bought used from Trestle bike park.
He went from coaster to geared/hydro discs without a hitch and is on track to hurt himself any day.
It's a little big standover wise but he needs some ball-shots to harden himself up anyway.
Singletrack and Highland Bike park are in his future this summer.

The 6yo is already outgrowing his 20" hotrock from xmas.
This might get expensive.

My son at 8 months. Out for his first official bike ride:

My kiddo with my buddy Jesse. Thumbs up and hang loose.

And me and the kid out pedaling a little bit.
