damn i like how that aurum looks, the only thing i'd change is the sram bits for the shimano bits. if i had the money to buy a new dh bike, i'd be hard pressed to choose between that color aurum and the yt tues 2.0, linkage says the tues is a teeny tiny bit better but that norco looks like a dodge viper compared to a honda nsx.

That Aurum does look nice. I got a chance to do a run with Ben Reid the other day and I thought his new one looks even better. They did a nice job on the bike and race van's graphics.

Here is my new DH bike.

Dude, russia of all places has a HUGE neo nazi problem. I went to poland a few years ago and saw more swastikas on walls than I had ever seen in my life
Dude for someone accusing a country of nazi problems you surely easily mistake Russia and Poland. Tbh. Poland is not the most tolerant place but we have almost no neo nazis outside of maybe one crazy forest city where people just inhale too much marsh air. Russia yes but in Poland a swastika is not used by neo nazis but mostly by idiots who don't even know what they are doing.

Also you really did see a lot swastikas? I haven't seen one for a few years.

Hard to say at this point. I've only ridden it once and that was at Highland on opening day. The trails were really wet and, as you may or may not know, at Highland that means really slow. Everything was so soft that it was hard to tell what the suspension was doing and the jump lines were almost impossible to clear.

The details on the frame construction are really nice, (chainstay guards, cable routing etc.) and the bike is very quiet. It came in at 36.5-37lbs using the bathroom scale method, which is lighter than my Sunday was by 1 -1.5 lbs, but I'm using lighter pedals and tires as well.

I never cared for Specialized but now I have 2...

This looks a lot like my Sinister Splinter in terms of layout. Which is a good thing.

Curious to hear ride impressions of it.

Although I don't know the leverage curve of that rig, something tells me that this bike should ride like a Revolt. Maybe because the linkage is somewhat identical...

New Session. XO 10 spd, Kashima front & rear, XTR Trail brakes. Got a few laps on it the other night and the bike feels incredible. Not sure if these frames run extra quiet in general or if it's the velcro I used on the chainstay (RM suggestion, thx!) but the bike is SILENT. Still lots of suspension dialing to be done but so far I'm impressed.

Can you give any setup/shock details? I just picked up one of those frames and I'm gonna be lost when it comes to setting up the shock.
Well im about 165lbs, 6'2 large frame, i run the front high, stiff(6.5 spring, 6out on compression)and pretty fast(13-14out on rebound), with a 450lb spring in the rear, maybe 3-4 clicks of compression and the rebound to match the front. Best bet is to run it and experiment, what works for me may not work for you. Ive got about 3-4 friends on these and we've decided you def. want to ride it off the back. Another thing is swap your bearings out ASAP, get Enduro MAX. The stock bearings are really cheap and any moisture is a guaranteed 6hr tear down(i was pretty busy after that pic haha)

Been ride'n her since October 2010, and still going strong. Have yet to give her a full maintance check, but so far so good. After a year and a half of riding, racing and bashing, it has no play and works flawlessly. Waiting for the 2013 models to come out to get a new one!

We're about the same weight, is the 450 the correct weight spring? I would have thought a 350 or 400 at the most. My current bike I'm running a 350 spring and it's pretty spot on. I was also considering running an Air shock on the frame since it's such a porker. Does anyone sell a bearing kit for the frame or do you just have to make a list of all the bearings and order them individually?

That black looks way sweeter then the stock team colors I've been seeing. Looking good.

Also, carbon is usually slightly quieter, but I'd bet that its mainly just the velcro, cause without the stuff it'll ride pretty loud.
