There is a time and a place to take up for the area you live in. This is not one of those times.
You two are right.
I really realized it yesterday when I got off on some side roads of already back roads while looking for this dude's house. Just a couple of miles away.......cue the banjo music.:panic:

And sorry for poo pooing in a cool thread. I will be back soon with riding pics.
Post pics of a dead redneck.

I got out of my cast yesterday, but my hand is still healing. I was going to ride around on my road bike around my house to see how bad it hurt and 200 yards from my driveway, I have this story........

Unbelievable. Doc told me I could "try" to ride my road bike as long as the pain is not too bad, so last night I was going to ride around for a few minutes to test it. I turned left out of driveway rode 200 yards, and a truck is passing me from behind.
As it is going by, I see something out of the corner of my eye, and I do some "Matrix" manuever to dodge it. Some low class white trash wonder threw a full coke bottle at me as hard as he could going 45 mph. Thank God for his family's consistent inbreeding, because his aim was off just enough to miss my head by a foot. And to prove how dumb this cat actually is, he did it too close to his home. I now know where he lives. I was planning just to go down to his work at the county fair where he operates the tilt a whirl, but I now have other options. Don't poop where you sleep. Game on.
keep us updated.

After work today:

Wee!

This was me riding the same ride a couple months ago. A little self indulgent, and long, but my first "edit" so...

I'm jealous of some of the trails you guys have to ride, in my area they a few and far between. But anywho, today I rode to work, and then home at night. Some punk a** teenager and his friends tried running me off the road...I staright kicked their car as they drove by. Then they stopped and were trying to talk **** like I'm even going to stoop to that level, I just rode off with my middle finger wavin :weee:

Went for a morning ride today to a trail that I've been getting entirely too used to. Technically I'm not even supposed to be riding there as it's for "hiking" only

Pretty cool little pedestrian bridge over a creek.

While not a pic from today, it is where I rode last night around dusk and where I'll ride again tonight. It's in my backyard! I finished the 5.5 mile lap in 38 minutes last night. Moses joins me and keeps the coyotes off my back.

With last nights beers and smores. I wasn't in the greatest shape for a 20+. I hit Switzer for a quick session. Dusted the Monocog I still had not used and picked up the nephew from kinder. Took him to a local park, so he can tear up the dirt trails on the strider I got him.

Went for a recovery ride today. Nice and slow, about 10 miles. Been commuting to work the last 5 days and it's been tiring on the way home after an 8 hour shift of cooking and cleaning. But it's a good tiring. I forgot to grab the battery for my camera this morning so no pics.

Today, I did my 4th road ride since Tuesday this week. All have been around 21 or 22 miles long, because my hand is not even strong enough for me to stand up on the bike. I am supposed to have clearance to ride offroad this Thursday, but its not gonna happen. I am still taking my hand off the road bars when it gets bumpy. I have no business on a mtb for a while. While this sucks and the heart of the dh race season is coming, I have to say I am enjoying putting in some road miles, and I think i will continue even after I am healed. My road bike was a 1996 cdale turd with a bent frame, and I just got a new bike. New bike plus riding around the awesome roads all over the Tryon horse farms is not a bad way to spend the day.

Been working every night until 12 or 1 am, sleeping most of the morning then watching my little brothers until I leave for work. The only riding I've been able to do is my commute. I'm hoping to go for a nice family ride today before work, we shall see!

Plattekill yesterday - waaaayyyy out of shape for DH. 1st run I pushed up to the triple side. As I was hoofing it up an access road, the shadow of a low flying and rather large vulture overtook my own shadow. Never a good feeling to have a vulture checking you out on your 1st DH run of the year...
