from the second pic it would appear to be a 650b capable 16" travel single crown fork with pannier mounts.

About time someone stepped up and produced a fork like this

I doubt the ports are for grease, I'd imagine it's more likely they are for oil.

Grease would stay in position better. Grease is just oil with a thickener to keep it thick when cold right? Would also push older grease up.
Probably for a hybrid groil made only by Fox.

Those arguments don't really apply to a Fox fork (currently at least) - the slotted upper and lower bushings are designed to send oil upwards during compression, and the foam ring then catches and holds the oil. On the latest SKF seal model Fox actually advise that you DON'T use grease at all - simply a wipe of the green oil.

The reason grease uses a thickener is not to keep it thick when cold, but actually to keep the oil in place when used in applications where there is no oil circulation mechanism. This comes at the cost of sliding friction. So if you can keep the oil where it needs to be, it's a better option to not use grease.

It's a bit different in a fork that uses a separate pressure seal, as that creates two extra sealing lips that are not lubricated (wiper lip of pressure seal, sealing lip of wiper - both somewhat redundant) unless some grease is added between them.

All that said, I have no idea what the new fork does - could be a completely new design or philosophy. :)

If that's for home made service, I dig it.
I hope it's the same system used by Rockshox for example on the Totem to change the oil. So simple. Five minutes (max) and you are ready to go.:thumb:

It does look like if a port, it would enter into just above where a lower seal would be.
Also I guess below where one seal would be if for oil changing.
I'm guessing it's for some lube reason, as why'd they have air in the cart side, and spring side? Air spring and ramping spring??

What if that are valves to bleed air out of the system automatically? Don't know if that's needed for their system though...
that would be a bad place to bleed since it would bleed oil. it really does look like an grease/oil port judging by it's position, i guess the idea is to be able to oil the dry foam rings. but the foam rings shouldn't be able to get dry in the first place!

Yeah I tried to think up some one way valve thing, or something, to create a vacuum or something to assist an air spring to have a better coil like feel/stroke. Couldn't come up with anything.

The arch looks bada$$!
ooh, air damping like the RST Hi-5!
Na, even the Bos forks have little srews to bleed the air out of the open bath system. You also need to open up Zocchis from time to time. But yeah, that looks like a bad place to bleed the system...(my fault)
