Exactly why I think it's awesome when people try to draw significant conclusions about timed practice...Let's not forget, timed practice is serious business.

It is sometimes good if one of the rumored riders does a full speed run. Thats why Smith is interesting. If he was seriously injured I doubt he would take the track in one run.

I predict that only two mens racers will get to sit in the hot seat all day. Richie will take it over at the start and then stay there until Gwin gets down.

Sounds like a possible recipe to make the times faster if it's stopped, make those berms where Gwin slid out a lot tackier (unless of course you're talking downpours and the whole thing's mud now).

Live timing was great for the Women I can't wait for the feed now to watch it unfold and hear Warner for the rest of the race.
