Morning monkeys!

Yup, you read that right. Today is my Wednesday. 3 day work week.

Rode Nam on Saturday, and Leominster State Forest on Sunday. Didn't realize that Leominster is way more technical than Nam is. BigT lost her mojo in Leominster and walked half the ride. All the confidence she had built up was gone for not riding most of last year.

Moar office today.

Be safe out there.

Morning. It is my Monday and that's OK. Rode once this weekend, got yard work done and helped X3Jr. work on phase 1 of his Eagle Scout project.

And my wife bought me a bottle of Rouge Voodoo Donut Maple Bacon Ale!

Dancin' over rocks n' roots!
Morning. Saturday we had our annual Mix Up the Dirt (MUD) event and it marked my first ride back after Alex. I talked with my Dr. office last week and they were adamant that I needed to wait at least 2 weeks before riding (I had a tear that left me with 3 stitches) and then I would need to take it easy, so I did my duty and waited....but I brought my bike along and did a couple of short rides on Saturday. I can safely say it's great to be back in the saddle again!!!!

Alex will be 3 weeks old tomorrow and is still an awesome baby; Syd is a great big sister and will be graduating from Kindergarten in a week; and Sq-Earl is such a great dad....yeah, my life is AWESOME!!!!

Tonight I'm heading to the LUNA Ride and plan to work on getting my climbing legs back....my mojo was definitely present on Saturday, but I've gotta work on my fitness so I'm ready to ride at Windham and Monkeyfest :D

Good morning all! Got in a couple of rides this weekend, 16 miles Saturday followed by 21 with my little brother yesterday. Trying to get back into it. Did a little bit of organizing and feel a lot better in general. Sweet!

Updated my Nepal thread, almost there folks!

Good luck to X3jr! It's a long hard road by it is for sure worth it. Getting that has paid off big time IMO for me.

Morning.

Rain ruined the chance of riding on Saturday. I did get a ride in on Sunday with my buddy who's fairly new to mountain biking. He did pretty well but it was very muddy on some of the trails. He took a couple small wipe outs on the steep slippery hills which was entertaining.

Happy Monday! Well wife and I crammed a whole lot of stuff into that weekend. I got in a 14 mile run Friday night. Saturday I helped set up for a charity picnic at a greyhound puppy farm (puppies!!!) then rode 70 of the toughest miles I've ever done. 5500 feet of elevation gain at a 15.3 mph avg. Yesterday wife and I did a lot of shopping and eating, topped off with a 26 mile road ride with "only" 1000 feet of climbing. My legs were tired from the previous two days and MBC showed me no mercy. I went to bed at 9:00 last night and fell asleep instantly. Good times.

Good morning.
Downhill on Saturday, big trail ride on Sunday. I had a beer with Joker afterward; I gave him a garage fridge and he hooked me up with a handful of parts he was unloading for a song.

I have two bikes in my garage to tune up for a coworker, I guess I'll do that tonight.

I now have a garage fridge. I also sold my Bigtop locally off eBay and managed to make a small amount off the original purchase price. It gets me just that much closer to my road bike.

No baby Stone yet. She is due Tuesday, but Wifey is ready for now.

Friend broke his heel bone in 1/2 on a bailed jump yesterday. Had to carry him out of the woods and take him to the hospital, may or may not need surgery...won't know until the swelling goes down. Sucky way to end the weekend/start the summer season.

Happy Monday! I finally had a weekend free, with no plans, so I took advantage and didn't do much. I took the bike that's been dropping the chain whenever I try to shift into the lowest gear lately in to the bike shop Saturday morning. My guy spent 45 minutes fussing around with it while I waited, gave it back to me and ushered me out the door. He wouldn't take any money for it, and I didn't even buy that bike there!!! (Though, granted, I've bought two other bikes there.) I love my LBSs. Got a short ride in Saturday afternoon, and a somewhat longer ride in Sunday afternoon. Not as long of a ride as I wanted it to be, but it was really steamy here yesterday and drained all the energy out of me.

Matt? He can't catch a break can he? Every time he tries a comeback it's derailed by a big injury.

Brothers family and my did in visiting for a week. One day into the visit and I am about to kill everyone. My sister in law finds it impossible to go anywhere without filing an 'official complaint' to management.

I should have rode in this morning. Th weather looks good all week, so I will ride in at some point. Not having showers is going to suck for other people. Good thing I have a cube by myself. :D

Yup, Matt. Hit the stepdown in Nam, went way too far and got sideways and came down with his foot out. My guess is he landed right on a small rock with his heel, because I can't see how you could cleanly break that bone in half landing on dirt. It sounds like they're going to have to put in a couple screws to keep the two halves together so it heals right.

Managed to get all my shifts covered and get out of town to downieville over the weekend. We camped right at the top of first for those who know the area, and just rode strait to and from our campsite. All and all a great way to start the season. Now it's back to reality and a nice full day of work today. Let's see how my legs do after a 70mile weekend on the DH bike

Morning.
Worked on the outside of the house for the better part of the weekend. Have a little more trim to paint and then we are mostly done! Unfortunately it's the high up, hard to get to stuff that's left.
Didn't make it onto a bike due to all of the work. But the child had some jump practice in the front yard! Built a sketchy little jump and tore it up!
Beautiful weather here today. Makes being at work even harder!

In other weekend news, I found out my brother's best friend (our neighbor from the time they were in Kindergarten), died of a drug overdose. Unbelievably sad for him and his family. He was like a second little brother to me... I'll always remember him with a smile on his face. Reach out to your loved ones today.

Yup, Mr. Skibunny he is ;)

And yes, totally. He just crushed it a couple times... Dad and Grandpops were at the store and mom was entertaining herself with the child... :D
