OK, maybe someone feels it's worth a grand, but that someone isn't me.
Funny, I came to an epiphany today that if I own something, it isn't worth sh!t. I'm in the process of selling/trading my 04 Jeep Grand Cherokee and all 3 bikes. I've had a lot of fun with them all over the years, but it's time to get new (to me) toys. The goal was get rid of all those, and get myself a clean early 2000's TJ Wrangler and a new fancy do-it-all bike (Yeti SB66c or similar). I initially thought I could almost do a straight trade with the Jeeps, and sell my 3 bikes (all great bikes IMO) and fund most of the new bike. I'm slowly finding out I'm wrong.And people want too much money for

The old saying "it's only worth what someone is willing to pay". IMO, a bike that has long been discontinued by a company than no longer exists isn't worth near half what it costs new after being raced for 2 years. I paid $400 for a near stock RM7 that was 8 years old and in fully functional condition. That was a fair price to me and I gladly paid it. I would be willing to pay $500 for a complete BB7, or $250 for a near perfect frame, but in no way would I pay a $1000.

If you ever saw a raw Balfa, you might understand why. The made a tight bike.

My friend had a BB7, 2-Step and a Minuteman. The frames rattled loose every ride, but they were cool looking. Well, the Minuteman didn't rattle loose.
You're asking too much for all that stuff. I'm not trying to be a dick, but that's the reality of used bike parts. My BB7 was rad. I sold it because I bought the wrong size.
That bike with a modified rear triangle would be awesome. It was a simple steel swingarm, so adding a thru axle, and dropping the BB and making it slacker would be pretty easy.

That's why I'm open to offers and stated so. I haven't paid attention to what stuff goes for in years. I'd rather start a bit high and come down than get less than what I could. All the prices are VERY flexible. Most of the stuff was priced based on what others were asking for the same stuff.

Yup. Best DH bike I ever owned. I had a Shiver and a 3.0 Gazza on the front and a 24" 2.6 Gazza on the rear. I plowed and railed Whistler like a madman that season. Riders ahead of me said they could hear me approaching from the sound of my tires chewing up the earth.i miss my BB7
