two more weeks what? Dunbar Cycles got their warranty frames. So it's go time for K
Damn that bike looks so killer. I hope they work out well and they didn't go to thin with it and they last. The suspension, angles etc. all sound awesome on paper. There are a few companies out there doing really innovative stuff. I want to test one ASAP!

Posting the breaking Evil frame again and again is becoming more and more ridiclous.
This.
Or should I post a broken chainstay of the TuEs?

Common, there is place for both bikes on the market.
Like in the car industry we have bikes and brands for all types of riders. So everyone should choose what he rides.

It's great that the Undead's are popping up.
I am not interested in a 33lbs carbon bike that is breaking going out of the start gate, so I think if they went the heavier route these frames should hold up well.

I really hope these frames can take a beating.

Meh, I'll wait till I see a bare frame weight. Or at least a full breakdown of parts on a build. I've seen too many apparently similar builds vary by 4lbs because of tyre, tube, bar, stem, seat and post set up.
My Sunday weighs that - is anyone prepared to believe its the same frame weight as a sunday?

I'm not in the queue for a warranty - but a mate is. If it rides better than the Revolt (a little more reliability would be nice of course) then it is going to be very scary for my wallet. Has anyone seen any indication of likely pricing?

Why do people expect carbon frames, which may be up to 2lbs lighter than Alu, to be 5+ lbs lighter as a built bike?

Are there parts that only work with carbon? Cant use them with Alu or?

These bikes should be no more than 2lbs off an Alu bike. If you're not <150lbs or rich, 37 is the new 40 -- it's light, and you dont need to replace things regularly.

Now someone will chime in on how they ride hard but dont do any damage to their 32lb DH bike, then a few threads later chatter about how they go through 5 rims a season......

ramble.

To be honest building a 37lb alu bike is possible without being rich. Just some cheating and some time to find the deals.

Still I want carbon bikes for more than weight.

I'm looking forward to building up a 6" Evil in September or so. My Revolt is still rolling strong so I have no need to switch to an Undead.

dont worry, no one is jumping on the Tuesday bandwagon anytime soon.
Maybe not in the US but in yurp they are super popular. I've seen 3 in Maribor last weekend. I know of 3 in Poland, probably more. They are popping up very fast given they've only been delivered.

I hope they made it a bit easier to go back together. A friend of mine and myself tore down his Revolt to clean all the bearings a crap about 2 months ago. Taking the rear swing off was easy enough, getting it back on though, jesus christ was it ever tight.

with a in-line frame, they are easy to put back together. yeah there is some tight tolerances b/w the swingarm and frame, but its not that hard to put back on. rocking the swingarm from side to side makes is easier, though it did take some of the paint off of the mainframe.

My warranty Undead arrived today. Been waiting since June 2010, so I think I was pretty high on the list. It sure does look awesome, but keep your eyes open in the classified sections, because it may well be going up for sale.

Common, build it up and ride it.
I definitely want to know how it rides.
Frame weight?
Also, what's that colorchange on the seat tube?
there are some wrinkles in the outer ply, the color change or the kind of brown looking stuff is excess resin. The lines that look like patches are just that, patches of carbon sheets. Its laid up, outside the tool. So they cover it in little patches on a bladder, close the tool on it and inflate. Just a little sloppy operator.

Sounds about right for a bike company run by artists.

most asian carbon manufacture do this, laying up outside the tool. You are just seeing it more on the evil beacuse of the finish of the bike. Most asian companys spray a little black paint over there excess resin to disguise it before they clear it.
