crashing at a trail near you...
So when my coworkers ask, "what did you do this weekend?" if I tried to tell them about this they just wouldn't understand. I had a little freeride play area set up in my front yard that was a combination of fallen trees and decking. it's been there for about 4 years now and mother nature has taken its toll so I replaced it with all man made structures. The bulk of the structure i was able to build w/construction scrap I'd scavenged from a few different build sites (hence the lack of 'presentation' in the build) and the rest i purchased new. In an effort to make it as stout as possible the column supports are built of 2x10 and 2x6 respectively with 5/16"x4" carriage bolts, opposing diagonal cross members, and an entire bag of 80lb quick crete. The steeper section is angled at 15 degrees and peaks at about 5'. it's been almost 24hrs now so the cure time is almost up. I'll coat it with 2 applications of exterior paint adding sand to each coat for grip. i hope to session it by Monday.

Cool, I guess, buy why so wide? I can't see it staying challenging/ interesting like that for too long. But have fun.

Nice for a yard play area. Pretty nice. The wide would suit lesser talented riders like myself.

Yuengling is OK, better than Coors Light I guess.

yeah the idea was to make it n00b friendly, and, im no spring chicken (just turned 40) and see custom title...
it is pretty 'modular' though w/screws and bolts so if i ever do decide to slenderize it, it won't be hard.
i do have plans for other skinny type stuff that will be of the 4" flavor...

What ever happened to the dirt jumps we built in the back yard?

still there. finally added a 3rd table and an exit berm that shoots right into a sweet slalom like section of xc trail. i think a good rider could easily hit 30 by the bottom. i need to get a comp on my bike so i can check my speed.

The Patron is the only thing in there that looks good. Why's it in the freezer?
