Hi all

Sorry if im posting on wrong forum but am new so do forgive me need some help on setting up single speed on my revell dxs jump bike.

i purchased this second had today and the lad who i bought it off was running 24t front sprocket and 11t back sprocket i havent had the chance to really ride it as chain was rusty and got down the end of road and chain snapped.

basically the front sprocket teeth are worn to hell so needing to replace front sprocket what would you recommend as a ss gear setup

im 6ft 3 , 14 stone and its 24inch wheels

also what chain should i get

im not a hardcore jumper just want some kind of gearing that will allow me to ride fast and hard on any surface but still pulls up hills easily enough and with a easy and nice pace for a slow ride , so suitable for tarmac , road use and off road use .

thanks

26 / 11 X 24" = 56.72 gear inches. Slightly faster/stouter than 55 gear inches which is the standard/stock all-around gear for bmx.

is this what it looks like?
