Fox RP2 air can: impossible to remove?

Hi, I bought an used Fox Float RP2 which looks like it's never been through any kind of maintenance. It leaked some air, so I got the Fox revive kit and tried to change the seals. However, no matter how hard I try to unscrew the air can from the shock body, it won't move... Any tricks you monkeys could give to get it open?

Don't forget to let the air out before you remove it. Made that drunken mistake while rebuilding my DHX Air a few years ago. Holy wake up call.

Yep one eye end in vice and something to grip the air sleeve. I can usually get enough extra grip with a hunk of inner tube wrapped around it.

Hehehe, nice heads up tip! I already have the shock emptied and out of the bike. However, I almost stripped out the Fox stickers trying to undo the darn air can... I've wrapped a piece of inner tube to enhance the grip of the strap wrench, submerged the shock in hot water to see if it helps, and I'm still unable to unscrew it!!!
