While I agree that for the US he will be an absolutely, horrid POTUS.
I still think he has a ways to go to catch up with both Bush the younger and Palin, at present he's only slightly topping Senator "bomb bomb bomb bomb Iran" McCain.

^^^^^^^^Inclined to agree. To be fair, Biden isn't exactly known for his ability to keep his mouth shut either.

I'll admit that I was floored by how little the GOP spoke to/of the troops at their convention. I watched most of it (albeit quite drunk) and there was almost *no* discussion or outreach to them. Any discussion of the military was either about Obama cutting the military or invading Syria, Iran, Sudan, Lebanon, etc.

Nothing about Iraq or Afghanistan (except that we shouldn't have left Iraq), and certainly nothing about the troops fighting over there.

To paraphrase:

Romney said:
I'm going to keep the popular parts of it without specifying which ones, or how it's going to work....
He's going to keep the pre-existing conditions part, but not the mandate? So now everyone can drop their insurance and only sign up when they *actually* need it? Awesome!

Given the historical trends in these matters it seems likely that Burns Jr. has already been secretly called that or worse. The only question is whether he's a wide receiver or a quarterback.

No, the next idea will be to remove the pre-existing clause and keep the mandate :D

Romney Apologizes To Nation's 150 Million 'Starving, Filthy Beggars'

“Let me make this absolutely clear: I have the utmost respect for all of the filth-encrusted, lesion-covered degenerates of this nation,” Romney said. “In the coming weeks, I look forward to meeting real Americans in their squalid, roach-infested hellholes in every corner of this country. I promise to stand up for every one of you, even the 47 percent of you huddled together for warmth, fighting your own family members for moldy crusts of bread as you wallow in your own excrement.”

Dunno, it's an unintentional motherload of gold with Meh Romney - from the foot in mouth stuff to the 'sleeping almost naked' stuff to his attraction to Snooki of Jersey Shore...I could go on!

I would like to take this chance to remind everyone that earlier this year Mitt Romney was pretty unanimously considered the strongest candidate in the Republican field — by a large margin. He was, without much question, the most electable of the primary bunch and the toughest opponent for Barack Obama. He was disciplined, well-funded, and had a moderate background that appealed to independents. He was, in short, the very best the Republicans had to offer in the year 2012.

This was not a fantasy, either. It was an accurate assessment. Romney was the best they had. The very best.

Let that sink in for a bit.
