Yea, that's what riders I'm figuring. If these guys are all open market now, there's due to be some interesting changes next season. I thought Hill and Smith had longer contracts??

Anybody noticed the drawing related to Troy is on top of another paper that looks signed?

good catch, my money is on him staying with S. imo his future is unlimited and they aren't going to want to let him get away, especially with sam's competitiveness being over and all...

then again, trek has a slot to fill...:p

Hill on Evil would be kinda neat, since the original bike was built with him in mind.

LoL - call it flashbacks, but for a minute there I thought the guy in the hat with the fu-manchu 'stash was Rennie...

If Hill moves on, it will be interesting to see where he goes. Personally, I can't see Minnaar or Peaty leaving SC - they have such a good relationship there as does Ratboy, although Bryceland does need to step it up a bit.

I highly doubt Sam will be leaving, but maybe the rumour is going on from last years one that he is going to make his own team? Remember the 22 thing?

Would the troy thing just be about Ropelato stepping into things?

Also with SKC, I think Bryceland has been pretty good this year, been up there quite a bit this year.

Im really interested who fills up Leov's place in Trek's roster. Possibly Bulldog?
Another one is Charre... And if Neethling leaves Giant, Hart needs a fresh teammate. Wanna see Bryceland race with him next year.

How so? This picture/rumor is implying that he's a free agent this year...
What I posted didn't belong in this thread.

But I don't know what I should make out of this pic. In my opinion it's unliely that all of the mentioned riders switch teams.

Hill - neither him nor specialiced would have a motivation to part ways

Same for the syndicate.

I could imagine that some of the big teams are interested in riders like smith or mcdonald.

Ahhh yes; the 22 thing. As others have said, the probability of Sam moving on from Spesh/Monster is unlikely but if he does, it would be interesting to see how that would play out logistically.

Yeah... that's true about Bryceland. But every year I always feel like he could be doing so much better. He has the talent, has the skills, but that killer instinct to crush the competition... I dunno. I just think he's capable of more but just hasn't reached for it yet.

i don't think anyone is expecting all of them to be somewhere else next year, i'm just taking it as these riders (possibly) have contracts expiring so some things could change for 2013.

City of Troy etc............

Hill moving doesn't make any sense, what would he gain by going out by himself?

why is troy brosnan a trojan horse? (serious question)

Because he's wooden with a belly full of trojans? (not serious question)
the trojan horse allowed the greeks to enter the city of...troy.

again, i don't think anyone is saying everyone in this cartoon IS moving, only that they have potential contract negotiations and moving teams is a possibility.

Hill will start his own team, Brook will fill in , Brannigan will be replacing Smith as the top dog for Devinci since Stevie will be replacing Leov and riding will Gwin for total WC domination:thumb:

just out of curiosity, as I don't know the money side of things that well, but isn't hosting a team pretty damn expensive? Isn't the reason pretty much every team out there with a highly paid rider sponsored by a major mfg or by a major shop (such as crc)? If Sam wants to remain a highly paid rider, why on earth would he start his own team?

Gracia did this and according to him it wasn't easy to get enough money for making it a lucrative endeavour. You'll need on or more main sponsors that invest way more than just their products to cover all the costs.

C'mon now Woo...

...that's hittin' below the belt.

Keep in mind this kid can leave anyone behind in another zip code if they tried to follow him on a run.
Oh come on! He really does look like an elf and he really does sound like he's huffin helium! That has nothing to do with how fast he would drop me on anything resembling a real dh trail!

It would totally be worth it because I'd get to ask him about lines at the end of the ride and I'd get songs from the willy wonka orange crew stuck in my head. Good times!

If it makes you feel any better, it's my personal opinion that that kid will be making whatever gwinn's record is in five years, pale in comparison. He's like 8 and rides with a calmness rarely seen. And I hope I'm right because hearing the victory interviews are going to put me on my ass laughing.......assuming puberty doesn't have its evil evil ways with his vocal cords.

Cartoon rumour guy seems to be a bit off right now on a bunch of them (who have long term contracts signed). Brook and Brannigan will be the big ones for sure.
That also made me wonder since I vaguely remember some of the mentioned riders having long term contracts.

Kind of OT, but did Mik Hannah race all year on a torn ACL....?....thought it was mentioned that he damaged it early in the year...
