6 months ago my wife was diagnosed with non-Hodgkins lymphoma. She had a giant tumor in her chest that was 7" in diameter. The doctors sent her down the chemo path and she did 6 rounds, once every 3 weeks. Last chemo session was 5 weeks ago. Her hair is finally starting to grow back. She is out hiking again and feeling good. Had a PET scan on Monday and got the results today - no sign of tumor anywhere. She is completely clean! We still have to go through a 4 week series of low-dose radiation but compared to the alternative, a stem-cell transplant, we are fvcking overjoyed.

Gonna celebrate by riding the MRT this weekend in Oregon.

Long story short, today kicks more ass than any day I can remember in a long time.

Thanks,

Boostin

congrats man, My wife had surgery to remove a very aggressive malignant melanoma followed by interferon treaments. At the time we were told that there was a 5% survival rate. She had her 5 year PET scan this summer and she is still cancer free. May your journey take to down the same path we have traveled

thanks ya'll! We are filled with relief. Stem Cell transplant would have been a hard one to swallow, although I know we could have gotten through it.

On a semi-related note, a few years ago my wife had the opportunity to model for a stock photographer in Wyoming. Now we see pictures of her popping up in the wierdest places... calenders, cereal boxes, hunting magazine insurance ads, journal covers... and now meme's. LOL

Have a great Friday monkeys!
