Frikkin HEY! Ski season is getting off to a late start this year. No skiing last weekend, no skiing this coming weekend. Few open trails, warm temps, and rain on the way. Bummer!

it's an early shift today. I start at 6am driving a paratransit shuttle which means a low stress day. My wife is at max stress out so I'm on my tippy toes. She goes under the knife for a total right knee replacement tomorrow.

Good morning.
Didn't sleep two hours in a row last night.
I baked a pie last night. It remains unmolested as of this morning, but that won't last.

Riding this afternoon, doing a snow dance, learning about Cuba, having some food ...

she's put that foot up your ass one to many times and wrenched the knee pulling it out?
naw blew the ACL skiing and it was misdiagnosed and never fixed. So years of marathons and triathlons later she has severe osteoarthritis and no cartilage left. We are hoping that post surgery she will be able to walk, hike, swim and ride pain free, running is probably out for good.

It's gonna be a REALLY late start for us here in western NY. It's 65 degrees outside right now. I'm guessing all the snow that was made last week is completely melting away.

Not to nitpick, because this is a supremely helpful post and I commend you for it, but it's not our job to protect people from the consequences of wearing no pants.

Just got back from the Doctor.... Looks like I am going to end up having another surgery. Stone is lodged in the upper kidney in a way that it is restricting blood-flow, Nothing super substantial yet. Come to find out from the kidney specialist today that is not what is actually causing the pain, I also have an infection in the surrounding area of the upper right kidney and possible that there is a bit of necrosis from the blood-flow issue. At this point before anything can be done the infection has to be cleared to see for sure if there is anything necrotic, but they are at a minimum going to have to remove the stone.

Couple antibiotics, pain meds, lots of fluids, work outs put on absolute hold, limited work, no hiking or riding....... this ****ing sucks.

Seriously getting tired of random weird ass medical problems, I am actually being assigned to a doctor that it is his/her job to basically study me and find out why there have been so many strange medical stuff going on with me, IE the way the Gall bladder caused pain, the way I react to opiates, the way local injections do not work etc etc.....

I like life, but right now I am thinking **** MY LIFE....

Just don't let them box you up in a crate and ship you off to some military base for experimentation.
