Anybody going to either TTC or Windrock this coming weekend or sometime during Christmas week? I'll be up in Knoxville for Christmas and I'd like to visit one or both of these places.

Sorry, I sort of forgot I had posted this after I destroyed my front rotor last Saturday and became preoccupied with yelling at USPS to stop holding my packages for no reason. Anyway, I still don't have the parts so I didn't bring my bike up, but it didn't seem there was anyone looking to go this weekend other than you and I guess caussiecan. The thread for in 2 weeks looks like it's a bit more organized by people who've been there, so I may jump on that trip if I have the time and my bike's good to go.

Yeah USPS has the worst tracking also. I was gonna ride but lack of interest kept me home, good thing tho 4 weekends in a row riding Windrock is pushing my luck. If weather is good next Sunday we may ride also.....I know I've got it bad.

Oh it's horrible. Supposedly my package was in Brooklyn for the past week, then all of the sudden at 6pm last night it says "delivered" with no info in between. The other parts I ordered are "still in Salt Lake City" since last Monday.

Sounds like you need to find a good local Bike Shop with stuff in stock and start supporting them and then you do not have worry about your stuff not showing up on time.

I'd like to be able to do that. The local shop in my hometown gives zero support towards mountain biking, and charge double what the performancebike store down the road does for parts and tools, so they get nothing from me. Performance doesn't sell much in-store for bikes over 4 inches of travel, so that's not really useful. The nearest place to me currently that provides anything useful is Peachtree Bikes, so I try to go there to pick up small parts, tools, and for service I can't do if they have them in stock. I do like to do a lot of my repairs and maintenance myself if possible though.

Normally I actually don't have problems with slow/delayed shipping when I order through CRC or JensonUSA, but this time I ordered through Amazon, so shipping was a gamble. Not likely to do that again.
