Risse upper crown for Fox40

Risse Racing introduces a replacement triple clamp kit for Fox 40 forks. The triple clamps are machined from billit aluminum and improve the performance of the fork. The upper crown is compatible with the International Standard direct mount stem bolt locations to eliminate stem twist.

Be carefull if your forks are new, I would check with Fox if it voids warranty. I was told Fox don't use integrated stems because in a big crash a non integrated stem will slip, reducing twisting stresses on your fork. Besides, are you saving much weight over a Hope/Thomson stem anyway?? Sorry if you already knew all that!

I was looking to buy one of these last year, it seems like a great deal.

Now I wonder , beside the slight weight reduction ,will it actually lower your stack height a bit ?

I own one only for the fact that I'll never have to run a normal stem again. I hate standard stems, integrated for the win.

The Risse and Go-Ride versions are both decent. I do not mean in any way to talk down the achievements of either design team, but they're both simple parts and well executed. I haven't seen any flagrant execution issues with either product. Integrated stems don't twist when unusual forces act on your handlebars independent from the rest of your bike. I like the way they look and that's enough to make me enjoy riding my bike that much more. VRRRROOOOM.

I just bought three integrated Fox crowns from a manufacturer in Hong Kong for our team. Similar to the Risse one and he will sell them at $80 each shipped. If anyone is interested PM me and I can supply his contact information.
