i'm not sure which is more entertaining; when stik thinks he is being vague and clever or when he's being upset that our tiny sport isn't being treated like american football (grrr) when it comes to contracts and 'letting cats out of bags'. also - stik, can you give us any info on the new TLD trail helmet? real or imaginary is fine. :)

Not trying to be 'vague' or 'clever' and hardly upset about this american football you speak of, I know f@ck all about american ball sports. Perhaps you mean the Sam Hill CRC announcement, I was irritated that some media sources didn't honor the embargo on dates, but whatever, not a big deal, and the repercussions of that early announcement failed to happen, so that is a good thing.

I will announce a sponsorship deal with a rider and TLD soon. As for a new TLD enduro lid, you should see something very soon on that as well.

Let's hope the "new" team actually markets their "fastest" rider on the planet, because that certainly isn't happening right now.

I'm sure I will get some flack for this, but a certain team has had a golden opportunity for the past two seasons and has done nothing with it.

I was thinking the same thing. If it is who we all are thinking. The team and rider have taken little advantage of what they have in terms of actually selling bikes.

with all the hinting at gwin, i wont be surprised if he's a new team now. And since its supposed to be shocking and thrilling news, it can't be that. I'm execting a real shocker, like danny hart getting sponsored by a new wheelbarrow company or something.

So true, ive mentioned to insiders at a certain team and they too are frustrated with the lack of marketing push with this golden child they have.

Well, I think we are all obviously talking about Richie Rude and Loic Bruni and where they will sign this year. Both are destined to be mega-millionaires in the limelight of Hollywood. Red carpet's with Olivia Munn and interviews with Seacrest to follow on the heels of the announcement.

Im no insider and don't work in the industry or anything, just an e speculator. I doubt Gwin will be going anywhere, and your guess is as good as mine as to where McDonald goes. But judging by some of the things Whitely said as far back as last season, if I had to put money on it I would say he goes to TWR. No doubt Spec has the money and motivation to sign another high profile rider to join Troy. I think Jacy will go with Sam, and Monster\Specialized will dissolve and the team will become Specialized Factory and Rope-a-dope will get the full time gig, with Troy being the main rider.

All this anticipation is killing me! I'd like to know who you monkeys are referring to when you say a certain team hasn't been taking full advantage of a certain rider, have an idea but still curious. Lappierre does have 2 gems in Loic and the lesser known Thome, the sky's the limit in DH for those young men. Richie Rude is the next in question, he's got a bright future as well.

Ha, you will be happy to know they are training. My buddy and I did a big Pisgah ride this weekend in the nasty freeze/thaw action going on, and I ran into them as we finished up, they were about to start. It was not a day that many people were out.......
