Your neck zip is gnar. I like it. I have some befores I might be able to wrangle, the afters are classic. Not inherently bad, it's just my ugly mug might crash the server. I'll have to wait until I get home though.

JK, I wanna see these cadavers. The more gruesome, the better.

I don't work in a morgue if that's what you're getting at. They're for medical device development purposes. Our license only allows for limbs, torsos, etc - ie pieces. We aren't allowed to have complete intact cadavers.
You have to have special permission? I'll be right back, I have some digging to do.

My own world inside my head
Seriously though, congrats Dirty Mike.
I am not an alcoholic...... I have failing internal organs...... I just do not want to die yet Pancreas, liver and kidneys are now on my list of endangered organs for me...... Kidneys being the most recent, down to 60% kidney function and still bleeding..... Fun Fun.

Liver is cool, the gall bladder that was killing it is gone, the pancreas is mostly stable along with blood sugar..... I get to start seeing an immunologist <sp> to find out if I am just a medical mystery or if there is an underlying condition that is trying to kill me.

Yeah, I know I can find it on google it's just more interesting to me when it's from a personal collection of someone I directly interact with. Oh well, thanks though. Those skull plate things sound interesting.

i can't really post anything unfortunately due to NDA's, but if you're interested the company I work for makes orthopedic implants - plates, pins, screws, etc.

I'm a packaging engineer. Right now the majority of my projects are on biological based and biosynthetic materials, so most everything is cold chain / thermally controlled and sterile. Very similar to a job i had a few years back working on soft tissue and organ repair items, now its mostly musculo-skeletal devices.

So you are missing a limb?

I wasn't all that freaked out when I read that you have cadavers, but was over the thought of just parts being stacked in a cooler.

In hell. Welcome!
It worked on Empty Beer for me.
There is no direct HTML embedding here, paranoia must be running strong with the admins. :p

Wow Monzie, looking good as usual (though not as wooly as normal) but your mate takes the crown this time! What kind of look were you after? We call that style "Teh East-German (DDR) pedophile". All that's missing is brown shades and polyester pale beige shirt. :thumb:

I've embedded pic from other sites here. I've never been able to embed flicker photos in the "Babies" thread. Always had to do a screen print.

Monzie always looks good. The nose ring helps. How is your buddy liking his new haircut Monz?

Beer!

Yup, works just fine from my domain.

mtbr does suck...it didn't use to. I learned a lot there years ago and enjoyed reading several different forums. I like how the trail building forum was added here.

Back story, please?
That is the scar from a neck dissection. The final (and successful) treatment for Stage 4 Metastatic Squamous Cell Carcinoma (cancer). The statistics say there is a 15% survival rate for the cancer I had. I was fortunate enough to be in that 15%. Over the past year I went through all the rest of the cancer crap, Chemo, radiation and finally the surgery. Except for being 60lbs lighter and a lot weaker than I was a year ago, I'm doing just fine.

It cost me a wife, a house and all the other "stuff" that people work so hard for, but I count that as a good thing. I don't own anything, I don't owe anything, I have no job, no money, no possesions (except my bike & some trail building tools) no commitments, no responsibilities, no worries. I can go anywhere I want and do anything I want. I've never been happier.
