Any night shift monkies on here? I've been assigned to work night shift for the next month and a half. We were are working on a 7 days a week and 12 hours a day schedule. Total suck.

So, anyone else going nocturnal?

Yeah, I've been with my current employer for about 5 years now, and night shift is always a possiblity. Its usially like a weekend or two. The longest I've been on night shift is three months straight. That was tough since I wasn't in too good of shape at the start.

every 8 weeks one full 7 day shift of 10-6
I hibernate
I just count it as a recovery week
7 12s for a month and a half is a sentence and not a work schedule
if you don't have enough to get a new bike and go on a vacation when you are done serving,it sounds like a bad deal to me

I worked 9pm to 7am for 8 1/2 years. Fvck that sh!t, never again. Bad for my mental and physical health, bad for my marriage, bad for my kid. Ill be unemployed before I work nights again.

Nevada, 2 hours from Mammoth
Worked graveyard on a few occasions--- Shell station in Auburn, CA, room service at Camelback Inn in Scottsdale, cannery in King Cove, Alaska, and casino pit here in Tahoe. Though it did give me a chance "train" for my first 24hr event, I sure don't miss "that" night life......

I had worked 10pm to 6:30am for 2 semesters in college. It was the only decent employment I could get with my schedule. It had it's ups and downs. At times I felt like I never slept.

I do night shift every 3 weeks.
This week is one of those night shifts...personally I like it cos there is no management there and I can chill out and crank up the tunes and just get **** done!

I have worked many a night (either as part of a stretch or as part of a 30 hour call) over the past decade.

No more, though: Assuming I take a daytime job (vs. a "nighthawk" one) then I'll quite possibly never have to do that again. Booyah.
