Built up a new klunker. It's getting 2.4" ardent hand me downs and OG saints. Should be fast.

So far, I have $149.97, plus tax, invested.

Kona P2 4130 fork- buddy who works at kona hooked me up. $40-70 retail
4130 moto bars- off my old Klunk. $40 retail
Specialized Fuse BMX stem- parts bin
headset- frame is integrated, and the bearings dropped in, from a FSA 1.5" > 1 1/8" reducer hs I had kicking around.

FSA carbon post and saddle: off my commuter, which this bike replaces. Had the post for 7-8 years, got it when my buddy, Chris, worked at FSA. I used to run a lot of FSA **** in those days, lol. The saddle is a hand me down from Chris, too.

Pedals: L- Wellgo MG-1. R- Easton Flatboy. Parts bin.

Even if you bought parts new, at retail, it would be easy to keep it under the $550 budget of the Transition Klunker. I am tempted to go FULL RETARD, and blow $400 on klunker race wheels....

How it rides: STABLE AS A MOFO. Mobs root gardens. The chainstays are a mile long, and it takes work to bunny hop or jump it, but it holds a line, that's for sure. Puts a big, goofy smile on my face.

The wheels are insanely heavy. 48h! Steel hubs, it is a walmart bike... The whole bike weighs 30 lbs on the nose, but the wheels make it feel more tankish.

I wish coaster hubs came in 32h. The reasonable thing to do, would be new carbon rims for my 29" HT, and hand me down WTB 29 AM rims for the klunk.

never go full retard... but this sounds fun! do it!!! :D
if you're going retard - there's only 110%

Speaking of full retard, I stopped by my local Walmart today and discovered some of these bicycle machines. In the shopping aisle test it felt a bit like driving drunk in an 18-wheeler with flat tires. I think it could be the future.
32s and walmart beat us to it WTF? its six weeks til our monty python inspired "something completely different"different.jpg
