I have 700.00 bucks what are my best options for dirt jumping? I don't want a bmx bike I want a dirt jumper and what's the difference between hydraulic brakes and disk brakes as in which is better? I'm new to this and really wanna do this thanks for the help!

To answer your brake question I assume you are asking the difference between hydraulic disc brakes and mechanical disc brakes (no one really uses mechanical rim brakes on mtbs anymore, and hydraulic rim brakes are only used in trials). Mechanical disc brakes use a cable to actuate a lever at the brake caliper that causes the pads to clamp down on the disc. Hydraulic brakes use fluid line in place of a cable, the lever forces fluid through the line which then causes the pads to clamp on the disc. Most DJ setups will work just fine with mechanical disc brakes (I've been riding a setup with mechanical discs for a long time on my dirtjumper and they do everything I need). Hydraulic disc brakes give you better feel and braking power, but are more complicated and expensive to work with/service.

For that much money, I would recommend a complete bike, maybe someone else can say which bikes would be the best for that price range.
