I used to have a troop who is Chamoran (Spelling? He is from Guam...). His Gramps tatted him up with the old school techniques, tap by tap with a sharpened stick and india ink...every year he goes back and lets his uncles give him more ink, tap by tap...says it is the worst pain imaginable. I tol dhim he was nuts, but if he stopped he would lose face among his family. Thats true hard core...
