Also, I have checked into a couple of other places (Burke Mtn. Condos included) and nothing else seems like it's going to be able to house all of us. We would need to rent 3 units in the condos which would be quiet a bit more so I am thinking that's not going to work. I'll keep you all posted.

I need a date lockdown before I can answer said question.
We are booked. New owner is very nice and they are making improvements to the lodge so the cost will be slightly more...BUT she really wants to keep us as renters so we're discussing options for pricing right now :D I've got this monkeys so plan your vacation time now and join us for a great weekend of bikes, beer and friends :weee:

VIP!!!! The new lease agreement (new owners) has quite a few more "restrictions"

I NEED to know how many people are 100% confirmed at this point. As of right now (I am working on these restrictions with the new owners and they are eager to have us continue renting, but they're actually working with an attorney for rental purposes because they have a mortgage on the place) we can only have 20 in the lodge and 6 cars on the property.

What I need to know is if you're staying Thursday night - Monday morning and if you can car pool that would be great. There is NO public lots that currently allow overnight parking in town either (they're still working on this with the KT people vs. town). If enough people aren't going to stay until Monday, we can just all plan on leaving Sunday afternoon, but I need to know that before I pay!

I am working on these two details, but she is going to need an accurate count so I can negotiate with her and I have to pay a deposit of half the rental fee plus a $120 deposit & cleaning fee so I REALLY need to make sure I can get more accurate numbers to her.

As of right now, nothing is sure for Melou and me, sure would be a bit embarrassing to take a spot for our baby girl....

And it all depend on our vacation dates too (should know in a week or so), we might be camping out or completely skip MF this year (worst case scenario)... I'll put a bit of pressure on the other in front of me for is vacation dates and let you know as soon as I know.

ZONING ADMINISTRATOR’S REPORT: Glenn Holdberry was unable to attend but wanted the board to clarify what type of permit that the Alquonquin Hall in East Burke should be getting. Sam and Emery felt that they should get a rental business permit as he rents his building out to many vacationers.

I haven't logged on in a while. Sorry I have missed all the fun.

I'm in. Thursday - Sunday

How about a Park and Ride ? People can just park in the KT parking after unloading and we could make evening trips down to drop off vehicles?

I'm so there, but I have reservations...first I'm only good for a Thursday evening through Sunday, no monday for me. Second, I usually like to drive my own car so I can leave when I want/need to, but MAY be able to carpool, if Woody's car isn't filled with smelly girls. How about reaching out to Burke mountain to see if we can leave some cars there overnight? They aren't really affiliated with Burke village or KT so that may be an option if we ask nicely.

If they're forcing us down to 20 people AND charging us more AND telling us we can't park there...well that kind of sucks!

I was thinking of asking the same thing of Burke Mountain! And, they aren't "forcing"...they're new owners and have a mortgage so they're trying to go about things in a more orderly fashion than the previous owners. :)

New owners have done this...thus the new "regulations" and formalities!
