Anyone know the size of the upper link bearing in a 2011 M9?

Got my new-to-me rig apart to upgrade to the new lower link and it appears this frame has never had any maintenance done. Two of the four upper link bearings are completely seized. If anyone happens to have a part number, I'd love to be able to source replacements locally.

Also, once the lower link is reassembled, is there a specific attachment for my grease gun to fill the two ports?

M9 uses the 6001-series (12x28x8mm) bearings. Some of the earlier users manuals incorrectly specified 6200 series, which didn't fit as I discovered.

Thanks. Just punched them out. Indeed, each bearing reads "Enduro 6001LLUMAX".

Of the two top bearing, one was crazy notchy and the other completely frozen. Once removed, both spin a bit but are still notchy (but not frozen).

Do yourself a favour and don't use MAX bearings to replace them. They're good in theory, but every one I've ever installed goes to **** quicker than the regular caged variety. This is on a Spesh with their super undersized FSR bearings.

I can only surmise that dirt becomes a problem much quicker than wear from the extra load on the non max balls and where there balls grind against each other, dirt takes its toll far quicker than on a caged bearing.

Amen to that! Having replaced the MAX bearings of all my bikes with regular double-sealed ones was the best investment I could make. Maybe the extra ball bearing in them should help them to deal with higher loads, but the crappy material they are made of makes them easy to shatter in pieces.

Wow an Intense manual had the wrong part, haha.

Yeah you'll get them locally just make sure they are rubber shielded and not Chinese, that may sound nasty but I am still yet to have much luck with Chinese bearings(excluding SKF) so ask the sales people where the bearings are made.
