I am thinking about becoming a consultant...just gotta figure out what I am going to consult about.
The key to consulting is creating a circular argument that always results in the need for more consultation.
I'd consult others on how to begin a career in consulting.

Front Range, dude...
Maybe I will start a consulting firm that consults with people contemplating starting consulting firms...have consultant consultants working for me. Occasionally I will consult with them regarding the consulting that they are offering other consultants.
Gonna have to change my name to Bob.

Yeah right. I work in analysis. We are short staffed as it is (which is why I'm having trouble getting laid off), a government audit is not going to cut anyone. We've even pulled 2 guys out of retirement for help.

I know you mean well, but unless you are seriously up in the government defense ranks I can't see it happening. Would you be an Air Force Colonel or higher perhaps? When those guys show up they get the red carpet treatment. They still have to put their $1 into the basket to get coffee and donuts though (anyone in aerospace will get that).
All I can do is offer to help- hearing these kinds of stories when almost 800,000 federal DoD employees are looking at two days off without pay for 11 pay periods, makes me want to do everything I can to cut ktrs.

How about y'all take that hit? It's not unemployment, but it could be a 3 day wknd every week.

Hey I'll go part time! Unlike most people I have my budget together so I can afford even 1/2 time work. Besides I'd probably be more productive per hour knowing I only had 2 days of work a week.
