So we got a 1998 Ford F-350 regular cab power stroke in at work, not sure on the miles but the condition is a solid 8 out of 10. my cost would be $2,600. I have absolutely no use for the truck and no room for it but I have always wanted one. Decisions....

If it were a '99, I would rock the wheels off. Not a fan of the square, but the 7.3 engine is awesome if you can get past the ugly.

what this man said. that motor alone is worth ~$1500. throw in a cab to drive it around for a grand on top of that? yessir, sounds like a perfect shuttle truck. Longbed?

I don't like the squares because they all look broken to me. The cab and bed sink together (worse on the club and crew cabs), looks like the frame is sagging.

I loved the 7.3 I had, it ran like a boss on B99, too.

The beds look 'right' when loaded and the spring pack sags a bit, but I agree.
Automakers finally figured out long strips of molding from bumper to bumper/two tone paintjobs make this 'problem' more apparent and stopped using them.

I like the squares, and could easily deplete my kids college funds buying trucks off that site, but the interiors are the suck and the prices are whacked.

What is the fastest car in the 1/4 mile from the 1980s?

*I'll save ya some time. God damn this car is awesome. It even beats everything into the mid 90s. Why GM decided to make Buick bad ass for a few years still baffles me.

Neighbor has one of these in mint condition in his garage...

And they quit making them because they were a Buick and nobody but old men bought Buicks. Might still be like that...

I finally got her on the road. The only thing left is to have the ladder bar re-welded. Oh and the AC leak located, it's F'ing hot in NY.

The ladies bike.

I hope to start ordering parts next month. LOTS of mods planned, changing everything but the gas tank, basically.

I had an 84, which was before they were intercooled and it was wicked fast.
It was a sweet ride, love to have it back!

been awhile since you posted an update... hows your rig coming along?
My truck has been on hold for far too long. :( I hope the dust will settle and I can get back at it. But I had to move it to my buddies shop and it's 2 hours away. Plus I need to save up about $6k for all my suspension.

I had/have a few project cars in my life

I owned this for about 6 years. Sold it recently to get money for biking, bills and travel :(

The Mk1 Capri, first pic is when i got it back in 2002 with a 302 Windsor and C4 trans, and more recently with an EB XR8 302 and Borg Warner 5 speed.
It has steelies on it now, they look good but it needs lowering. Still being built up but very close to cert time now

My family is into a bit of racing. We have an AE82 Corolla with a 7agte in the garage (1800 cc turbo). It's got a light tune and been dynoed at 177KW and 337 NM atw at about 12 psi. Keeps up with the big boys ok.

Also there's a Mk3 Swift GTi that's essentially a more reliable (albeit much slower) thrash around.

My current rides are old enough that parts are wearing right and left so since i'm keeping them project cars they are.
2001 volvo xc 70 240,000 miles; i need to replace the bushings on the front suspension, all four struts and the tie rods..$15-2000.
2003 F350 4x4 diesel 120,000 miles mostly towing heavy just spent $1400 for fuel injector pressure sensor, fuel pump pressure sensor and EGR Valve. previously I replaced upper and lower ball joints, front tie rods, serpentine belt, air filter, turbo, fan clutch, all 4 brake rotors.

I wonder if you removed the EGR (legal over there?) if you would get a improvement in performance. Some diesel turbos do, like the TD27 (in Ford Maverick) for example. They get blocked up over time.

I have several projects going on at once but I will start with my two brawler rigs in this post. I did all the work on these myself

I am about half way done with the blazer. it started as you see below, a plain stock 1984 K5.

I wanted a rig that I could use as a tow pig for the snowmobiles for ice fishing and getting the boats into the high country when the lakes aren't frozen. I started by slapping in a spanking fresh balanced and blueprinted 400 short block with an rv cam, roller rocker arms, eldebrock performer package, gear drive time set, and a new 700R4 trans with corvette servos and drag bands with a husrt shift kit.

then threw on a 6 inch full spring lift 15 inch wheels and 37x14.5" toyo mud terrains and full mandrel bent 2.5 inch welded exhaust and flowmaster super 44 mufflers.

next is a full exo cage to fit the spare, lights and the rooftop tent and new sheetmetal dash with new buckets.

the other big project I have started with a plain stock 1980 toyota hilux pickup. in this pic I threw on a 4 inch lift, 33x10 toyo mud terrains and new 15 inch wheels and converted it to propane.

I use this rig for hunting and firewood cutting and really liked the way it got around in the woods so I decided to throw some money into it. I decided to fab up a flat bed and mount the tanks inbetween the frame and bed.

took several hours to cut and grind off all the mounts and get rid of the nonsense.

I blocked and channeled the frame since I was going to put a 12k lb winch on both the front and back.

I made mounts and used forklift brackets to mount the tanks solid to the frame and used stall mat riveted to the rails to absorb vibrations and dampen sound on the bottles

I had just enough room to put in dual tanks in the mounts

once the cam locks are tightened they dont move or make a sound

I used 2x2 square tube for the flatbed frame and 2x6 for the headache rack since I will mount a 2000lb atv winch in the top for lugging logs and elk onto the bed. I only had to raise the actual bed surface 2 inches in order to accommodate the propane cylinders and still have enough clearance for wheel travel and tire clearance.

I used 1 inch square for the rest of the bed surface and pretty heavy sheet for the rear drop panel

I slapped in a fresh 22r and made room for dual 31 series batteries tethered to a 500 amp dual switch that will be mounted on the dash in order to isolate the batteries during heavy winching. these batteries barely fit after a ton of cutting and fabbing trays. each battery is rated to 1250 cca at 32 degrees.

i capped and channeled the frame on the front and recessed the front winch clear back to the radiator in order to increase my approach angle. I will finish off the rest of the front bumper with 1/8 steel to contour around the sides. you can see the old bolt holes from the stock bumper and how much clearance I gained. I also found some hellla lamps and recessed them in the grill that are wired to the brights.

I gutted the interior and am making a complete sheet metal dash. I cut down the old dash in order to keep the stock defroster set up since space is a premium. I cut down the defroster to the vents and stitch welded it to the 1 inch tube at the angle for the dash.

I found some cheap buckets on amazon for 99 bucks a piece and found they will fit perfect and leave me plenty of room for a steel center console for electronics and firearms.

should have this wrapped up by the end of the month, pics to follow shortly.

I will have some good pics when its all done, but for the next couple weeks just phone pics while I am finishing it up.
I dig the cheap buckets, the ones like that I tried were pretty damn comfy for $250 a pair at the tunner store. I need a car before I need seats.

the front of the toyota kind of looks like a kaiser M715...
a buddy said that the other day when he was over. I am replacing the corner light and the hood is up and the rest of the bumper isnt finished so it really doesnt even look like a yota right now. I am fabbing a bumper that will look like a road armor type bumper and replacing everything with LED. spent a few hours on the back putting in the stop turn tails, backups and plate lights. will upload a pic in a few
