Just wanted to throw a bike thanks out there to the Seven Springs Park staff this weekend for getting me off the ground and getting me to the car so that I could get out of there. They could not have been more professional and helpful. Thought I didn't think anything was broken turns out I broke my femur so itll be a while before Im back on the saddle. One another note I almost feel sorry for the spectators that had to watch me roll around on the ground. broken femur 1.jpg

the lip could use a little reconditioning, but mine hit was just poor form. Next time Im taking a beer break and resting for a bit. Lesson learned.

What part of the femur did you break? I'm on the ski patrol and never missed that one! We rehearse that scenario all the time.

I'm a springs local and those bottom five jumps are pretty awful. I separated my shoulder on the second to last one back in 2011. Since then I've been very cautious when jumping them. The lips are a little odd and the dirt is always rutted up and full of rocks. The jumps tend to throw you funny and you need to compensate for them.

It was a mid femur break, clean through. Apparently aluminum bars are harder than bone. They need to work on those jumps more but Im sure they wont changed minus minor work until someone goes legal or something. Im just greatful they acted so quickly.

You drove out of there with a broken femur?

Your balls must be made out of solid brass.

Healing vibes to you!
