yup. We know it.Are you guys aware that the pleney-gondola is closed this summer as it is getting replaced? They will provide a shuttle and the Les Mouilles and La Crusaz lifts will be open for 2 hours in the morning to provide transferability to les gets. But that means no or very limited riding on the pleney itself.
I quite like it. It's fun for start but I know only 2 secret tracks. Would like to know a few more.2 - 3 rides down the "not actually secret tracks" is more than enough in the mornings.
Pleney main line will not be missed.
If you consider that the pleney-gondola has a way higher capacity than the two lifts which are usually used for hikers and even the gondola had a little queue at peak-times I think it will have a considerable queue and therefore may provide you with 2-3 rides maximum. You even need to switch the lift and therefore I think they are mainly meant to assist the shuttles in the morning to get the people to les gets. What i'm more afraid of is stupid long queues
best track EVAR! Watching my mate come down it on his Orange Five.....with his broken wrist still in a cast is something I'll never forget!"up your bum"
SM is FAR far far betterAre the supermorzine hidden trails as good as pleney?
Nope that's not the one I'm referring to, though that's almost as vertical!"up your bum"
There's plenty more gnar up SM. Porridge had me giggling like a schoolgirl all the way down. We were a train of about 12 people and all you could smell was dust and brake pads cooking.Yup, different though, possibly not quite as gnar but do go on way way longer! The main Super Morzine route is official again, and totally ruined (at least it was last year), the two other tracks I know of are Porridge and Run of the Mill...... but unfortunately I tend to get lost finding them so no good for directions
They certainly are.Generally the secret tracks are referred to as Porrigdge,Run of the Mill and another which i forget the name of but is more centrally (closer to the lift) in location. Theyre far longer and have more to them then the likes of the ones located off Pleney. Are the supermorzine hidden trails as good as pleney?
The Celine Gros track, I thought it had been closed now, but with the axle deep rut all the way down it used to a wild one to ride clean. One of which I'm glad I wont need to do again, is the one that you turn to the right, IMMEDIATELY after the tunnel section on the main line, before it drops down again. Just to the right of that flat bit is some singletrack, that leads down to a rut that makes you feel like you're upside down, and g-outs in the bottom. Scary as f&ck bit of track that.
I'll take your word on the name for that track, I was just told to go down it... hated every second of it though. I turn into a real mess if I'm stuck in a rut with both pedals hitting the sides. The Celine Gros track, I thought it had been closed now, but with the axle deep rut all the way down it used to a wild one to ride clean.
i don't ****ing care at allAre you guys aware that the pleney-gondola is closed this summer as it is getting replaced? Could we keep this board family friendly, please?SM is FAR far far better
That looks good. Though I really want my dh, steepness quota to be filled in morzine this year. God my share of berms in Maribor this year. 6-8min bermed tracks with 700m elevation are nice but yeah, that makes me happy.i don't ****ing care at all
that's what they are building on super morzine, no need for the old worn pleney trails...

I know it as that. Great track. The Irish folk called it Russell's backyard but given the owner is a nice French guy I don't think his name is Russell.
Wonder when it's going to be open. maybe if you go there early after it has been opened it will be good.I know it as that. Great track.
Those berms in the pictures look nice. Although in 3 weeks time with all the PPDS squids, a shed load of rain & a bunch more wobblers braking everywhere they will be full of 12" braking bumps & similiar sized ruts. It's the same every year.
Yep, Run of the Mil is one of my favourite trails, love it.Run of the mill on Super Morzine is one of my favourites, highly recommended. There's one section where if you hit it fast, your roost from the first corner will hit you as you do the second corner. I think I like the track just for that.
Remember to slow down and walk bikes through the guy's backyard at the finish. The Irish folk called it Russell's backyard but given the owner is a nice French guy I don't think his name is Russell.
From what I can tell, they ripped apart DA Trail to build thati don't ****ing care at all
