nice job of creating defensible space around structures....not...

If we have a drought at our house, the entirety of the western part of NC is tinder from my doorstep to roughly Knoxville to Charlotte.

I completely understand why you guys have to think in that manner out west. My house is basically in a jungle. I've somewhat given up on thinking it will ever have a fire barrier without investing in a bush hog and logging equipment.

You could make a difference with a chain saw and some dedication.

Yeah, totally unwilling to change. I trim my lot with a bladed weedeater and I've had multiple 70 footers cut out. It just made my neighbors 75 footers grow into the canopy space they left. I'm good with what we have here.

I'll just make sure to pay my homeowners insurance and if a wildfire ever got to our house, it can have it. We'll start over at that point. I live in an area only a few inches of rainfall short of being considered rainforest anyway. :thumb:

Looks to me like someone drove over the rebar and its come up through the floorpan of the car and out the top. Jacket was on the back seat or draped over the passenger seat.

Last photo looks like it came out rather than going in.
