They have been out of stock from Enve for a few months.
If you need one now your SOL unless you can find a used one. If not wait until spring.

I just picked up the Answer Protaper 780mm 1/2" rise carbon if that's long enough. I was actually surprised because it seems to be decently thick at the ends. A few Crank Brother's bars I checked out were damn near paper-thin. I was trying to find something low-rise, wide and strong for my Enduro 29er.

My Enve bars are thick as fvck at the ends too. Looks indestructible

Yeah that's wide enough, I'd trim the Enve down a little anyway. The RF and Answer both have a little less sweep than the Enve, which was a turn off, but it looks like the Easton has the same numbers. Just may have to go that route instead.

Depending on how bad you want one, I think I saw a UK and an Australian site that had them when I googled it. I was looking for one too

My LBS had been in touch with them and there was a problem with a "supplier"? I think. Or, bars made overseas and the rims only made to order here in the US. Whatever it was, they now have to go back and complete all safety testing, etc. Don't expect them to be back any time soon.

I'd be heading toward Deity's new carbon bar anyway.

Dammit, realized the Eastons are only 750mm. I don't need 800, but I want wider than that.

Any other ideas?

tape the ends of the 800,s get an abrasive cutoff wheel, mark your spot, and have at it.

I've got a lathe (or 10) at work so I could make some extensions myself. I'd rather just buy what I want though.

That's not the problem. I'm looking for a quality carbon bar that's at least ~770mm wide and has more sweep than average. That Joystick might be the ticket.

It really is so easy to cut the 800mm wide bars.
I just fastened old grips (without ends) to the bars, left the outer ridge to the width I wanted to cut the bar down to, and just filed it down.

Perfectly straight and exactly to where I want them.

[/facepalm]

I am entirely aware that cutting down bars is no big deal, and have said as much already.

It's only 10mm, but I've just picked up the Nukeproof Warheads, 760mm and feel comfortable, but the Renthals I was running previously were cut down to 750mm anyway.

I jumped on them and they felt right straight away, only a degree off Renthals. I swapped to Renthal super soft lock ins aswell so am not sure whether I love the grips or the bars at the moment!

What's preventing you from buying the Havoc 35 bar? Sure, it's another standard, but I have them on both my big bike (full width) and trail bike. (cut to 770.)

I can't imagine using anything else...

I'm actually pretty sure it won't fit on my bike. Long story but I have a jacked up shoulder that it happiest with my bars really super low. I also run a Dorado, which has very very long, very large diameter legs. My bar is actually in front of the fork legs, and I have to run a 55mm stem just for my normal 31.8 bar (which has a lot of sweep) to clear.

Gotcha. I already heard the Dorado doesn't play well with a Easton 35 setup.

A friend of mine had a good deal on a show-bike Dorado I could buy, and figured I'd have to "settle" with a 31.8 bar...

Yup. The 35mm thing sounds cool but the Dorado is fvcking awesome. You can pry it out of my cold, dead fingers.

I don't reaaally need a new bar right now. Think I'll just wait for the Enve to show up.
