As we all know I have a bit of a "weight problem"...

Think Chris Farley:

So on my Yeti ASR-5 the rear end tend to bottom out a little bit, even with 265# of air in it. I've been thinking for some time now on sending the RP23 on it back to Push and letting them take a ripper at it.

I know they're good, all of my DHX's are Pushed. But I've never done an air shock with them. They want to put in a "big hit bumper" which I am fine with, think it might protect the bike and my ass.

Anyone done this? Horror stories? Praises?

I did it for my Trance X. Got the full tune with the "Big Hit Kit." I weigh around 205 and couldn't get the small bump performance I wanted. It came back feeling WAY more plush, and now the rear end just seems more consistent.

One of the more notable differences after the tune was using the lockout. I almost never needed it climbing before the tune, but now I feel I have to use it. It's more smooth without any wallow.

Pretty vague review I realize. Long story short: it was worth it.

I had my Float R pushed before I mounted it on my bike. Have not had a single complaint between this or the previous Float they worked on for me. FYI, if you are thinking of sending it in, they're running a promo for free return shipping, extended warranty, etc. Good luck

Pushed RP3 here. Works great. What volume air sleeve does your RP23 have? You might try the small volume air sleeve if you have the mid or large sized one.

I had my RP3 Pushed as well, with great results. I'm not a lightweight, but definitely lighter than you at 185lbs. I opted for the trail tune with big hit kit and it fixed all the issues I had with the shock. Much better control in the mid-stroke, no more harsh bottoming out, and still plenty of small bump compliance.

I run about 175lbs in it on my Blur 4x and it feels great.

Hey Dirt, two of my friends are running Pushed RP23's on their Yeti 575's. They aren't that heavy, but had the same problem of blowing through the mid stroke.

Both of them say that its a night and day difference. Another guy I ride with is running a PUSHed Monarch on his Ventana El Rey and loves it.

Sorry to dig this from the grave...

I'm in a conundrum as far as what to do for my trail bike (2012 Dixon with clapped RP23)...

Still trying to determine the following:

Should I shell out for a Float X?
Do I try to find a Monarch Plus RC3 (QBP stopped carrying my tune / size)?
Do I experiment with Push's Factory Tune w/ Big Hit?

The money factor alone has me thinking the Push idea might be worth the try as it's less than half what I would pay for a Float X and a $100 less than the Monarch (if I can find one).

Any advice would be helpful.

Thanks!
