Since I have no clue about this I thought Id ask here before I try to replace the chain on my pitbike tomorrow.
I have a new chain and it broke after riding it for a bit. Appearently this is because you have to re-adjust it in the beginning due to chain stretch?

So i now have a pitbike that has been chainless for about a year and a new chain.
Where do I start and do I need special tools?

Oh and by pitbike I mean one of these:

Look on your swingarm....under the chain line it "should" have the spec for chain play....if not then check your owners manual/google. It is important that you set the chain play to spec or it could come off and brake the engine case. Your new chain will be too long.....they make MC chain breakers that are giant versions of bicycle ones but you don't need that. I just use a grinder to grind the end of the peened over pins off and then use a punch to knock the link apart. Your new chain should come with a master link or you could use the old one if its not messed up.

The rest is as easy as working on the rear of a BMX bike.....loosen axle and chain tensioners.....put chain on....adjust per spec...make sure wheel is square in the swing arm.....tighten everything back up and RIP!!
