I'm planning on taking my son on a ten day bike trip to hit up some bike parks. I'm debating on going west and hitting up Angel fire and Winter Park or going north and hitting up Killington, White face, Bryce, and highland. Which would y'all suggest going north more parks less driving or going west?
Thanks

I've ridden Snowshoe - Timberline - Mountain Creek & Plattekill and they are all great places to ride.
You can ride more and drive less if you stay on the east coast fosho. Bryce - you know is brand new.
It's 20 hrs to Angelfire.

I second what the flaming head says. Timberline has a vibe unlike any other, everybody there acted like we were doing them a favor by coming to ride their trails. Mountain creek has something for everyone, great place to progress. Platty is my favorite place to rock surf on loose shale, natural terrain at its finest. Highland if you want to send it to the moon. Bryce looks great. I am sure the parks out West are great, but you should sample the East coast offerings first.

Having ridden out west I will tell you that during the summer the weather is much less variable. If you could get to Denver you have Trestle and I forget the name of the park that used to be Val de Sol or whatever about 30 minutes apart, along with lesser know lift assisted riding in and around Teluride, Vail etc and Angel Fire would be ~ 5 hours from those riding areas. The mountains and bike parks are generally bigger than the east coast equivalents.

I think I'm just going to hit up one of the parks up North this year then next summer head out west.
My suggestion was to stay on the East coast, but my mind always wonders West.I rode at Whistler last year and there is no comparison.
