in a single wide, cooking meth...
Weather looks pretty decent this week, with perhaps a shower on Saturday and sunshine on race day. So things we know:

* We're talking east coast rox here, so don't expect guys from the left coast to handle the glacial gnar well, even if the rox are older, rounder, and softer.
* Since this area is basically an extension of France, it would stand to reason that Remi and his fellow countrymen will have an inate advantage.
* It is a well known fact that the British have been importing east coast rox to the UK for well over 200 years now (it was part of the peace agreement after the war of 1812, and significantly increased during WWII as part of the Lend-Lease program), which have been carefully placed is various locations throughout the kingdom like Ft. Bill, Revolution Bike Park, the Atherton Compound, Stonehenge, and the Virgin Islands. Therefore its safe to assume the URT crew and other Brits will find the setting quite familiar. It also explains why -seb kicked everybody's ass during his recent east coast jaunt.
* Even a freeride Demo can win here, as demonstrated by one Mr. Hill a few short years ago.
* Matti will not wreck here this year...I just have to believe.
* There's a new season of Trailer Park Boys out.

So with all that in mind, here's the men's podium:

1. Hill - clearly back on pace, and now riding with an acceptably long chain stay.
2. Smith - his Canadianess (and beard) helps him overcome his fear of east coast rox.
3. Gee - doesn't eat enough poutin to be a top spot threat.
4. Gwin - struggles with the rox, but new telescopic chain stays keep him upright.
5. General Lee - a bit of a surprise, but recent collaboration with Bio-genesis lab pays off.

Ladies:

1. Rach
2. Manon
3,4,5. various hot french girls

C'mon guys, consider some of the following unlikely realities:

* Lindsay Lohan is not only still alive, but being paid (handsomely) to be something other than a coke whore.
* Mitch McConnell will likely lose the Republican primary in KY.
* Obscenely expensive Crossfit studios are now ubitquitous throughout the US.
* Anheuser Busch makes a pre-mixed strawberry margarita Bud Light "flavor".
* Nat Geo would have you believe a 67' long great white shark is out body surfing Pacific Ocean swells (when not being forcefully transported to unsuspecting inland villages via tornado of course).

Matti is golden, I'm telling you.

I think everyone should post everything only after feeding into a google translate into french.

Je pense que chacun devrait afficher tout seul après le repas dans un google translate en français.

I think they were referring to the fact that he mumbles

At least brendog has an excuse for mumbling (cleft lip anybody?)
Bugs Bunny doesn't mumble.
You'll buy any excuse that supports your fan boi-ism won't you?

Is there a write-in option for the Dirt fantasy league?

Gee and Rachel will be racing on a tandem in an effort to save time on competing separately.

Brendog will nose wheelie the course with the back end kicked out, securing a mid pack finish but at least 3 photos in the vital finals slideshow

gwin shall be running two rear wheels on a custom Demo Trike, one at each chainstay lengthg setting.

Charlie Sponsel will win, but then explode from sheer disgust from winning on non american soil.

Hart and Hill have been spotted doing an incoherent, mumbled rain dance to ensure a greasy track.

Peaty has regained his former pace thanks to Kathy Sessler dangling a bottle of stella in front of his bike.

Stevie Smith will miss his race run due to a scheduling conflict with his new 'poutine gives me power' advert.

Cam Cole, Matti Lehikoinen and Dan Atherton will be racing in their own class, racer with the quickest recovery time wins.

All the French Canadian being spoken will give Remi Thirion advantage, unfortunately his new Bos baguette fork won't be up to the standard he needs.

4x fans worldwide (all 12 of them) will say that the lack of 4x is a disgrace and complain about XCE, which leads me to my final point

Event cancelled due to Flyin Brian Lopes 55 blocking off the car park.

Are you trying to tell me that Megalodon is actually extinct?

I've heard rumours that Nico is going to be racing on his old Sunn Chipie set up, now that the rest of the bike industry has finally caught up with the technology.

Can anyone confirm or deny?

I think he'll be too busy in Whistler racing late-90's DH, otherwise known as 'enduro'

*just to be clear, I think the EWS is f'ing brilliant, and it's a shame both these events have to be on the same weekend.

Riding naked is considered as riding in a skinsuit?

Birthday suit, factually.
Haven't seen that in the rulebook but if It was legal I'm pretty sure Whitely would have launch it at the same time they came up with the "heating tent"

Well that or TLD will launch it as their new 200$ PJ's that comes with the limited edition demo that's so fast you can't see it. At least when no one is looking.

NORCAL is the hizzle
CG will come out of retirement only to receive a lifetime ban from the UCI for violating the no skinsuit policy
Actually, CG and Mario Cipollini are BOTH coming out of retirement and are working on a new skinsuit they will both wear in that new tandem class with Gee and Rach. It is also expected to bring them up a few notches in the race to pull the most podium girls.
