I have no idea how Pivot make their bikes so ugly but I find myself squinting to see if I can make the bike look better, might be the Huffy style graphics.

Saw this bike yesterday at the show and it looks alot better in person. The guy said it weighs about 39 pounds but it felt like more.

My bike would probably fit in this thread. It's looking pretty bad right now. It's a 2007 GT DHI. The one that looks like an origami swan. Front of the frame is blue, black carbon seat mast, and a steel blue rear swing arm. Not a very good looking bike to start with.

borcester rhymes
does this do anything for ya?

(dont mind the stem. we were playing with various lengths)
Not for me. I have to agree that the pivot bikes look like crap compared to virtually everything else on the market, especially compared to other DW bikes, like the turners or the incredible ibis ripley. I know they ride nice, but meh.

Not at all, it looks a bit better than the one I post but it is far from nice. It looks like it's from the late nineties, there aren't many bike I wouldn't own because of it poor looks but the only Pivot I like the look of is the Point and still the graphics are pretty poor looking.

The picture of the 'whatthehellisit' with the quote "Caliper is in a scary place!!" Whatever it is, it mostly resembles the monster in "ALIEN"!! I can't think of a caliper made on this planet that looks like this!!

Wow, 65-66 deg head angle, you'd really want a Ti spring or an air shock on that sucker.

Mainly due to the colour that looks so much worse in real life, hangover urine yellow is not a nice bike colour!

Do you have any info on the DR-1? I picked one up a few months ago and don't have much info. The only thing PR had was a marketing brochure in PDF. No specs, no owners manual, etc... Looking for any info I can find. So far the bike has been great. It is heavy, but it takes it all and comes back for more. You don't happen to have any of the parts from yours do you?

media blackout
ask ska todd... he posted the story about it on here somewhere.

the stays on the swingarm were basically just super long profile cranks.
