^Nice.

I witnessed my first hood latch failure to windshield slam yesterday on the highway. One of the decrepit taxis had this happen. Of course, he panicked and swerved into the decrepit, overloaded bus that had been passing him on the right. The bus swerves right, and the 3 poor souls that had been hanging off the back were swung right off their feet, but miraculously hung on.

Taxi stopped and re-tied the knot holding down the hood.

The bus didn't even stop moving.

13 days...

<Rant> Why the fvkc don't people put frame sizes on bikes they're trying to sell in the classifieds, and is it really that difficult to take more than one photo of the bike from multiple angles that doesn't suck??? I'm trying to find a used xs/small DH bike that won't cost me an arm and a leg, and it amazes me that people think ads with minimal descriptions and photo/no photos will actually help them sell their bikes.<Rant/>

In other news, at some point, I will go for a ride today. It's beautiful out there today.

Still working on the deck. I finished sanding yesterday and began the process of chemically stripping and brightening. Almost done with the brightening process. Once everything dries properly, I will begin the process of staining. That will not be happening today, as it will need to dry out. I'm hoping to go for a ride once the brightening process is done.

Just got back from a fun, techy ride at some new to me trails.
Cracked a Dale's, gonna run the dogs and hit the water when the wife and kids get home from wherever they are now.

Going to try and relax before the sh1tshow week begins.
Spring rains killed our production schedule and its going to be a barn burner from here to when the snow flies.
Loads of massive multi-week projects and I'm still booking jobs because I'm an optimist like that.
Gotta dust off the customer service hat 'cause there will be some toes stepped on.
