Troys time is still about 7seconds faster than his quali, even in the rain.

I reckon that means there's room for smith, Hill, Hart and Blenky to take some time out of their qualis and break the 4min mark too

yeah, hills run was wild, so epic. Gee is gonna win, but his run seems substantially less epic to me now after watching hill, minnaar, and gwins.

What a race! I thought the rain would have ruined it, it made it better in the end.

Fact: In nine months a boom of babies with glorious moustaches will be born due to 73% of the women within a 100 miles from Quebec being impregnated by the sheer radiant AWESOMENESS of Steve Smiths run.

I kind of already looks like that... Maybe they'll be able to speak English. Now THAT would be weird.

IMO, Gee would have been in 6th at best if everybody rode in the same conditions. Smith, Hill, Greg, Gwin, Hart and Troy all had great runs.
it's always impossible to say but i agree - add in that even between the top riders the rain conditions weren't the same. rain appeared a bit heavier up top for gwin, and even troy, macdonald and neko earlier.

Also did someone stole hart's rebound shimz? Boink boink hop from start to finish LOL amazing style.

Somebody want to do some maths and figure out who can actually win the overall?

If Gee has 2 wins, 2 seconds and a bunch of qualifying wins out of 6 races he's got to have a fairly tight grip on the overall.

Smith is probably second. Needs to win the last 2 races to get the overall

Remi is the only other to have a win but his other results aren't strong enough I don't think.

This is of course assuming that Gee doesn't crash in his next runs.

EDIT: the rankings are up here http://www.uci.ch/templates/BUILTIN-NOFRAMES/Template1/layout.asp?MenuId=MTY2MDM&LangId=1

these rankings include a bunch of local races etc, not just WC races

Gee is exactly 120 pts up on Smith iirc based on the latest standings shown on screen. Still too close in terms of points to call man. If Gee wins the last 2 races thats 400 pts, even he qualifies real low on both. If Smith qualifies first and gets second on both races hes still not catching Gee.
