been meaning to post for a couple weeks now but have just been too busy with out of town work.

i know i've done it a couple times before but have to do it again. once again the canfield crew saved my last minute whistler trip with their well know spectacular customer service. was planning on using the 40 off the diggle on the new jedi but very long story short that didn't work out. a few days before leaving for whistler sean and vin hooked me up with a new 40 that not only had i been drooling over but couldn't pass up. HUGE THANKS!

new fork shows up, finish the build the next night, and it's off to whistler the following evening. i literally got the bike built, rode it a 100 yards down my street, took a few pics (see below), and stripped it down and packed it up. DAMN IS SHE PURDY! it was a very short trip, flew into vancouver friday am and out sunday pm, but still got some good riding in.

and let me tell you, as everyone else has said, holly crap, does this bike ever live up to the hype! so glad i said F it and pulled the trigger! only disappointment is she is so pretty, i hated getting her dirty... but a B-line warm up run broke us in friday afternoon. not only did it brake us in, i pretty much broke myself off. yes, on b-line... i know, i know..., pretty sad. first run of the bike, day, and season. without too much detail, small table, dead sailor, blown front tire on impact (still bothers me b/c i have no idea why), exit stage right (actually more of an eject stage right...), and damn near DESTROYED my hip. (i have some pretty spectacular pics but i doubt anyone wants to see that much of my ass...) my buddy was riding in front of me filming and you distinctly hear it when i crash. yup, it was that bad. (on b-line!!! wth??) was really concerned i'd just ruined my whole 2.5 day trip. but i said F!CK that, suffered through the rest of the day, (the pain was significant...) applied heat, cold, whiskey, and drugs (LEGAL drugs) multiple times that night and had a killer 1.5 days of riding dirt merchant, a-line, fade to black, and the rest.

not to mention the entire canfield crew was up for the same weekend and i was able to meet and ride with them. that was pretty BA. and most probably don't know this but chris is frickin hilarious! and of course he isn't too shabby on a bike, to make one of the bigger understatements of the year... but everyone did already know that. got to ride with chris a good portion of saturday and met everyone else on sunday but unfortunately our time was short and circumstances didn't allow for me to ride with everyone else much. was bummed about that but hopefully they will be up again in september when we go back. it was cool to get tuning tips and suggestions for the guys that actually designed and built the bike... would have really like to spend even more time do that!! although, they decidedly each have their own unique preferences which can lead to interesting conversations and lots of tweaking. good times all around! my only regret was i didn't have a chance to buy any of them a beer. next time! enjoy the bike porn and i can't wait to get back and do it again! (hopefully with out the bone crushing punter crashing...)

OP, way to stick it to the man. Fyck punctuation, paragraphs, and the naysayers who don't like run-on sentences.

wow, sorry for the great offense... i added some paragraphs, hope that helps. actually there is a significant amount of punctuation, and for the record, mostly used correctly... it was rather late when i wrote the post but i still don't see any run-ons? no, i didn't capitalize, didn't realized the was required, hasn't been an issue in the past. was just trying to share my appreciation for the help canfield provided me, my excitement over my new bike, and the enjoyment of a weekend in whistler... guess i'll keep it to tech q&a from now on...

behind you with a snap pop
Did the Canfields ride any slower with you hanging from their nuts like that?
I can see them getting thrown off balance with all the swinging.

Ha, glad you like your new ride man, and I am only hating because you went to whistler and I didn't.

hip is fine now. was worried about it for over a week. it was tough to walk but no issues now. must have got "lucky" with just a deep bone bruise.
