Hi all,

I'm going to be in Quebec in about a week and am planning to head up to Mont st Anne for a days riding and have a few questions.

1. How do I get there from downtown Quebec? There is a ski bus in winter and lonely planet says there is a MTB based shuttle bus in summer but my google fu has failed me.

2. Who to hire from? I know the mountain does rentals and I can get a Scott Gambler plus all the gear I need from them but was just wondering if there were any shops that do the same thing? If not I'll just rent from the mountain.

3. Any suggestions of what trails to hit up? I'm an intermediate rider but have spent a bit of time at whistler so black diamond trails don't stress me too much, I just dont like big gaps or large drops. Or better yet is anyone planning on being there on the 24th August who can show me around? Would be nice to meet any monkies who might be there.

I'm also keen to hear any other tips about riding there.

You drive on the 138 East and then take the 360 East Road to Mont-Ste-Anne.
Signs are pretty clear.
It is a 40-45 minutes drive from Downtown Quebec.
No Bus Shuttle in the summer for sure.

There is only the mountain shop that rent bikes nowadays. So the Gambler will be your go to option.

As for Trails, Start with the ones on your left hand side when at the top of the mountain at the Trail Hub entrance; i.e. the more bike-park kinda trails:

The Grisante, The Vietnam, The Tordue.

Then you can move towards the rougher rockier track;

The 1837, The Inuk, The Tac-Tac, The Chomeuse, The Coupe Du Monde (WC Track), The "2"
(In no particular order) the first 3 trails are rocky, steep, rough. Think Detroit Rock City in Whistler, The last 3 are more natural dirt trails, but still steep, fast, techy, rooty.

There are no real big gaps or jumps in these trails, some internal laws forbids the mountain to build big jumps in summer & winter. There is always a run-around to all the bigger gaps like the ones on the WC track.

Hope this helps! Cheers!
