Over there somewhere.
herper derper.
Sounds like an std...

Will someone die
Will someone provide that wow factor
Will someone win
Will the chain fly off the wide-narrow chainrings of the bikes that don't have chain guides...

Or more importantly...

Will Norbs get robbed again?

So, I'm going out for a ride instead of watching this live. Anyone know if there's going to be a stream where one can watch the full replay?

Judging is whack as sh!t.... again.

Strait's 87.xx with 2 tricks?
Zink... very impressive that he flipped the sender, but he did nothing else and gets 84.xx (2nd)... higher than Lacondeguy who tricked everything.

Doesn't make much sense to me imho.

They said at the beginning that the judging for this event is different than everything else on the FMB Tour. Amplitude, line choice, flow can all count as much or more than tricks. I know it doesn't make for good TV but some of the lines these guys are riding are 10x more difficult than throwing a backflip over a groomed double. Overall I think the judging has been good so far, as with most competitions you could flip/flop a few guys but overall I don't have an issue with anyone's place.

Are we watching the same event??

Genon just rode a GNARLY ridgeline w/ super-steezy flow + TRICKED SEVEN FEATURES ... and scored 71.xx

"Good" judging. Sure. -____-

Yea, I guess I spoke too soon...

Well I posted that right before Genon dropped in. I definitely thought he would have been right up near the top 3 with that run.

What is that extra padding on the outside of Zinks D3? I wonder why they wouldn't just throw him in a moto helmet if that is what's going on?

Bummed it was called, but strait was riding like he owned the place, not bumbling around between big hits, near misses, and cases. Well deserved in my opinion, but I would have loved to see what people were holding back for run two. Agassiz looked under control with the best 360 drop I've ever seen. Bummed that Benderoni didn't qualify, especially after traveling from Russia.
After seeing the contest hampered by weather a couple of years, I think this contest should be jam format. As many runs as you want- judged after all runs are done. It's not like people could really abuse the format because of the danger of the runs and difficulty of hiking up for every run. This would solve the problem of judges backing themselves into a corner on earlier runs, like what happened to Norbs. Two run solves that somewhat, but if you crash out run two, or the storms hit, it doesn't.
These guys are such amazing riders, but the terrain is such that tiny mistakes can blow an entire run, and leaves riders without another chance to show off what they're capable of that year.

just Santa Cruz...
As much as I get turned off by judged events, I really like Rampage. I kinda don't care about the judges pick for winner, it's just so burly that I judge all these dudes as the awesome.

Loved strait's run, clean aggressive control. Loved Lacondaguy's approach, just so stoked that I got stoked. Zink... such a fvcking man. Tmac's run/line was so cool. Ferry, dude has such rad style. Man... all these guys... epic

Crap! Almost forgot tmac-his run was amazing- and good point about the judging not really mattering much. I still would have loved to see those second runs!
