ggwag vs ggwag?
Code:
One bright morning in the middle of the night,
Two dead boys got up to fight.
Back-to-back they faced one another,
Drew their swords and shot each other.
One was blind and the other couldn't see,
So they chose a dummy for a referee.
A blind man went to see fair play,
A dumb man went to shout "hooray!"
A deaf policeman heard the noise,
And came and killed those two dead boys.
A paralyzed donkey walking by,
Kicked the copper in the eye,
Sent him through a rubber wall,
Into a dry ditch and drowned them all.
(If you don't believe this lie is true,
Ask the blind man -- he saw it too!)

the pueblo recall surprised me; that's a pretty strong dem stronghold, but i guess guns are a red line(?)

it's a steel town, as in "I've got my steel in my right hand / Now I'm looking for the fence".

Turnout was abysmal. District 11 has got to be the "bluest" (if such a thing even exists here) part of town. It won't surprise me at all to see the district go back to D next election, but the gun nutz came out of the bomb shelter to vote and everyone else stayed home. Like $tinkle, I found the pueblo results surprising, and for the same reasons I suspect.

Gonna be a hot time in the old town tonight.

At least seven people are dead after as many as three shooters dressed in military style uniforms opened fire in a rampage at the Washington Navy Yard on Monday, police said, spreading fear and chaos across the region as authorities tried to contain the incident.

Dont know if this belongs here or in the F the police thread. I will just leave it here for now...

Multi point failure here.
1. Why is he walking away from his weapon, secured or not, AT A SCHOOL?
2. Why is he carrying a round in the chamber AT A SCHOOL?
3. Why is a man with an i.q lower then the weapon, issued the weapon?

.4 Has it really gotten to the point where even a moto cop (traffic, glorified beat cop usually) needs to carry an AR-15?

The militarization of the police force has gone full retard.

one of the local news outlets around here said he took it from a family member. haven't seen anything since i read that. my father used to be a dealer (gun, not drugs you hippies) and if what i read this morning (that it was an AK-47) is accurate, and it was purchased recently... probably not too legal. NJ has some strict gun laws. one of the reasons my father moved over to PA is gun laws in NJ. that and property taxes... oh, and the smell...

Hopefully a gun ban would be just as effective and violence reducing as the drug ban has been.

Simple emotional solutions to complex problems always pan out.

Gun control or gun restrictions are not the same as a "gun ban".

We have a serious problem with gun related violence in this country that needs a viable solution.
