already finished with my first transport of the morning. Lovely 42* out....

hella stiff from yesterdays ride, mostly upper hip area. I'm seriously debating about doing another ride after work, don't know if I'm going to be up for it.

yoga dude. trust me. lots of good instructional videos can be found on youtube to help loosen up your hips and lower back.

Mornin! Jerb offer is supposed to roll in this morning. I'm anticipating something a bit lower than what I was hoping for, but at this point, something > nothing.

Work. Installing insulation on the garage door. Arms so itchy from the fiberglass.

mornin. had a sh!tty ride on my favourite trail last night. hit a jump too fast, landed in some rocks and I think I blew up the compression circuit in my Pike. fail. at work, a lot tired. I think I'm ready to hang up the bike and get out on skis. if only the snow would fall.

new. playing with compression settings does nothing, and it seems the rebound damping is shot too. :( I heard the bottom out (it sounded violent), and when I came to the end of the dh, I noticed my front tire was flat too... it was at night, so I don't really know what I hit, but it musta been some rocks. I landed rear wheel first so I'm thinking there must've been some sort of leverage at play... I don't think my LBS has seen any of these new Pikes, so I'm not too sure what to do. I'll give them a call when they open and see what they suggest.

Shoot it back to RS. They'll take care of you. Besides - it's ski season. You said so yourself.

Morning. Road ride today for lunch, staff MTB ride tomorrow for lunch, another MTB ride Friday (for lunch) and then skiing all weekend. Oh yeah... fvck Comcast.

PS88 - what's the jeeeeyoorrrrb?
Stoney - cover arms in vaseline PRE handling fiberglass. Gross, but effective (I hear).
Squeeb - Fois? Sounds French, they probably suck.
fink - fat skis, fine. just don't fat bike.
SS - because fvck you.

you have no idea how much that response hurts. it's like 54°F here today. It seems like winter will never arrive. Shoulder seasons suck. Maybe I should start a thread asking how you survive the shoulder season?!

anyways, I'm in Canada. but I bought the fork in the States. I'll still see what RS Canada has to say...

@ Full Trucker, that's funny caus' I've been thinking about a fat bike. A few buddies got them. In fact one was out last night with us. He hit 27mph on 4.8" tires. Said he could barely make the corners, even though they are wide open sweepers!

I think with climate change (sorry to open that can or worms outside the miscellaneous forums) our winters here are going to be much more variable, making a fat bike viable, but fat skis redundant unfortunately.

Maybe I just need to move somewhere like you guys where I can mtb at lunch and ski on the weekends. Sounds just about right. South of France and Northern Italy sounds good. Chile perhaps? hmmmm

work conducted on product that is on market vs npd (new product developtment, ie R&D type work, pre launch work)
You got it. It doesn't sound like they have put much focus on optimizing their product lines. So I'll be helping identify areas of improvement, putting together proposals for cost reduction opportunities, and helping implement those. Much more flexible and hands on than my last job. So that's a welcomed change.

you'd be surprised the number of MD&D companies that have little focus on sustaining engineering, very little of the manufacturing is automated.
