So there are those here who will remember. But I'm sure there are many who don't

When dw (then f1moto) and John P et al started Evil Bikes way back in the day, the chain guides also sported the Evil name. But they were later re-branded as E13.

For 3 points, and a chance to play the lightning round, what was the motivation for this change?

"E.thirteen, though, actually came from somewhere, but we’ve always kept the origins a family secret. It’s all good stuff though, no real intentions in the names at all."

Thirded. I can see a new thread. Show us ya evil clocks
I'm not cool (or old*) enough to have had an Evil branded supercharger, but here's one I made earlier...

* This is a lie. I'm totally old enough to remember the Evil superchargers. I just never had one. Also, I guess when you have as many birthdays as MMike, one gets to be pretty up there in age...

e.thirteen was in Leominster, what was an old Butcher Shop from what I remember being told. I doubt Dave Weagle was a Zone Supervisor for the local Police.

I have always thought of it as this - laugh if you will...

e.thirteen is kinda like an anomaly, you have to say it - generating sound/inferring tonality/invoking the Major Scale of Music. (insert laughter)

Well, after the 7 Modes of the scale you have a Tonic.

That's Steve Peat having a Beer.

A Tonic is also the repetition of that Octave, the Root tone, to which the notation would begin to repeat. There being 12 whole tones to make an octave, and some in life not giving a crap about the concept of sound - e.thirteen sounds like a great way to capture the moment.

No?? lol
I wanna make a clock too, I've got 3 40T bashes from 2005!!
