7am in Indiana, reading the monkey while drinking coffee and sitting next to my Grampa.

EDIT: Just read on Fast Company that social media has overtaken pr0n as the number one activity on the internet. What's wrong with the world?!?!

meh supposed to rain last night and today, dry as a bone outside. Radar shows the neares shower is a couple of hours north of us. The drought continues which I guess is good because the drivers around here suck even when the pavement is dry, add water and its a freaking demolition derby.

Howdy all. Feeling pretty beat up after the kid woke up twice on Sunday night, followed by a long Monday (work then long dress rehearsal in concert dress as it was photo day as well). At least this is my morning off… or would have been except that I have to go to the VA to do paperwork and crap as I'm rotating there in a month.

Mornin! Pup was hurting pretty good yesterday and it appears sleeping it off didn't help. He's helping when he walks, but it doesn't appear anything is stuck in his paw. Off to the vet he goes!

Slow work day is slow.

Just gotta keep fooling people into believing I'm still busy with Dakar related work.

Shouldn't be too hard, but golly, it's boring.

Bike nerd question;

Minimum required chain for a long cage derailleur,
And 32t chainring, and 36t cog.

I've snapped my chain twice, and me RD be stretchin', wit me shrinkin' chain, yo.

36-th should be a long cage. SRAM notes which size cage is suggested, but anything over 32 should be a long cage.

Depends on how many chain rings you're running.
I've been 1x for years and can't remember the last long cage der I owned.
My 32x36t 1x10 with lg1 guide nomad uses a short cage xo.

I measure chain length by fully compressing the bike (remove spring/let out air), putting chain on largest combo then adding 2 links to the shortest chain length that looks right.
