true story at my daily, daily. I like helping people with design projects, sometimes ones that don't pay. I don't however like doing a metric ****ton of work for a corporate entity that is in the business of creating capital but paying in discounts. If you can pay a ****ing electrician to come out and do something you can do the same for a designer.

We don't do what we do because its a impulse control thing. I am a design professional because im paid for it. If I werent I wouldnt deal with the most absurd requests and desires of ill conceived projects.

Its times like this that you wish Stinky boy was still alive. He would whip up some crazy cool chit for free. He was good like that. Who knew that Graphics was associated with the Cartels. I miss him....

I think it needs a 'ghost busters' sign around the $. But overall, it's not bad for the three hours I spent on it.

Do I need to 'sell' you that logo?

Okay, the shop is a mountain bike/freeride shop. So the arrow is in the shape of a mountain to represent that fact. The word 'bike' is ON the mountain, just as one would be as it was being ridden in real life. The word 'shop' covers two things. First, the 'S' is the shape of a $, indicating the high cost of bike parts/how much it costs to run a shop/what the customers wont have, when they walk out of said shop. Second, the word 'shop' is UNDER the mountain. This indicates what we know of most bike shops. They go out of business.

How can you not see that?!?

I think the arrow really represents motion, which bikes are good at?

As stated, a professional is not needed. The threads title could be clearer. I posted here looking for someone with a shared interest of bikes and who is willing to spare some time in exchange for discounted parts. If that doesn't sounds reasonable to you then carry on. I understand that a pro can't pay bills and buy groceries with discounted bike parts.

Clearly, my comment about art students can't be applied to everyone. However, with my girlfriend working on a masters in studio art, I'm not so quick to dish out respect to the undergraduate studio art majors she TAs. The majority of semester long final projects are started days before they are due. A chicken tender strung up above a water fountain was my personal favorite. Granted a studio art degree is not the same as a communications or advertising degree. Much respect to students who value their education and degree, unfortunately they might be the minority.

Seeing all the memes posted around I'm sure something can be conjured up.
Me thinks peeps are calling you cheap! Not a good reputation for a shop owner!
Try throwing in a set of brakes for payment. Yeah I know a pair of brakes cost 300$!!!! Thing is you get them for a hundred bucks so bring on the bling! Open up a pot shop ......bigger and easier profits.
