Enduro-specific bike with a 28.314159265359 wheelsize.
You might recognise that the fractions as the PI sequence, which happens to be the circumference of a circle..i.e: the shape of a wheel.
It is also the First two letters in PInkbike.

MIND f*ckING BLOWN.

It's the perfect wheelsize.

Comes in 2 moar weeks.

Also for me it's a "bit" pricey, eh.
Still I think a carbon frame with that spec and a reasonable geometry is OK for 3k.
I think I'll move to Switzerland...

The price is great but don't even try to complain about Italian salaries compared to the mexico of yurp I'm living in (1/3rd of Italian avg). Especially when living in Sud Tirol so great hills are close


but yeah the carbon 3k frame is a great option. Did they go direct order?

I'm not planning to get a new bike this year but I'm also very interested in what YT has to offer. Given my good experience with the Tues I have, I'd expect nothing less for whatever they have to offer.

With no known geometry figures, I'd still tap that like an ADD kid with a fish bowl. Hawt.

About time YT got themselves a design department as well, I see good things in their future if this is any sort of indicator.

Seems that the frame was designed around Bos fork and Mavic wheelset :D Not bad combo in design department though.

If so, yeah, they absolutely need a smaller travel bike. 140-150mm rear travel, 66°HA and about 425mm chainstays.
Gimme an aggressive allmountain bike!

I think its spot on personally, certainly for the average Megavalanche warrior (myself included).
To ride fast safely over distance on what is basically light-DH tracks needs skill and fitness. Typically for the casual rider one or both of these are lacking and additional travel helps catch rider errors as tiredness increases. if you're pro well you can likely have them knock together something dedicated for the specific track you are competing on so its irrelevant but Im sure YT will sell a bunch of these to the casual market.
At sub 30lb for the top of line one, and with a 65.5 HA (assuming the report was correct) its going to be a blast for sure. Not sure how much lighter you can go without sacrificing reliability too even if you drop to 150mm, a couple of pounds?
Certainly comparing the Stumpjumper and the Enduro I thought the Enduro was a more versatile bike and the reports I read at the time suggested that 160mm travel beat lesser travel down the hill anyway - I think the review I'm thinking of was in Dirt so probably findable in the online archive (Lapierre Spicy 160mm vs Zesty 140mm I think)

These days I'm knocking around on a Enduro SX 120mm 4x bike built up as a light-DH bike with 65deg HA, its fast as hell but tires me out very quickly. It doesn't ride the gnar as well as a bigger bike so you need to be a bit more on the lookout and reading the trail ahead to get on the brakes to catch too quick entries into sections where 160mm+ would carry you through - not sure I'd want to spend an hour on the Megavalache track with it though. Prediction would be Id have to scrub speed way too often to be as quick as a 160mm bike and would likely crash at the bottom due to fatigue (its hard to crash in the middle bit across the fields)
