Does anyone know what's coming from RS with the next Boxxer?
Charger damper? Bold New Graphics?

Sea Otter is coming, but somebody out there must have seen/heard what will come to production (or at least be willing to speculate wildly about it) new for 2014.

black stanchions, zero QC, labeled as a 2016 model but it'll come out in april so you can have a future fork NOW. They'll have some april fool's joke about it that won't be funny and they'll try to sweep it under the rug after complete and utter embarrassment, again.

Just my prediction, though. Maybe there will be a charger damper.

My guess is Charger damper and different offsets for 26/27.5 wheels. Oh, and good enough to win World Cup races but not good enough for the RM e-riders.

Even though we haven't heard anything, I've just got to believe that the Charger damper is incoming.

The performance of the Pike is so great that even a half baked implementation in the Boxxer would probably make it the best all around DH fork.

If the roach can make it through 1 year needing only one service I will be impressed. If it feels okay for 2 rides and then goes all to hell coughing oil and spewing like a college girl at a frat party I can think of better ways to spend my $1700.

My time is worth more to me than wrenching on a part that costs that much money every other weekend sorry.....

Nick I'm very disappointed that you're excited about the new boxxer
Dan, Not so much 'excited' but curious.
I had great luck with my old World Cup. I had that fork dialed.\

edit: Are you riding a Dorado or a 888 these days? I'd like to try the new Bomber too.

Both. Got one DH bike with the Dorado, got another identical frame setup with an avy 888

:)

Might be trying a DVO shortly to replace the dorado though.

Was that your experience with the new pike? Or with the boxxer?

2011 Boxxer the new Pike seems okay from what I have seen. I still have to wonder how long their service interval will be and if their seals will hold up. Now I have also heard of people blowing 40 seals in a very short time so. This isn't just a Boxxer deal. It's the whole damn bike industry with stuff being half ass and the consumer base thinking its okay to have crap brakes with bubbles from factory, fork seals blowing in 2 weeks ride time, carbon cranks snapping like tooth picks to "save weight".

Seriously can they not figure a way to have small bump compliance and seals that don't tear the first time air blows over them.....

I dont understand this hate for boxxers. I have owned 3 and had great luck with every one of them. maybe its because I take care of my almost $2000 fork. taking the lowers of and cleaning everything out once a month goes a long way for keeping your seals running 100% and a monkey could do it in under 20 minutes.

I am excited for this new boxxer to come out. I have yet to spend time on the new pike but all my friends who have them seem to think they are the best fork around.

*Rockshox boxxer with grease ports, they're negotiating with Udi for the patent.

*Single crown Boxxer for trenduro and pedally WC race tracks.

EVERY single boxxer I've ridden (bar none) or tried either A. felt terrible or B. felt terrible within 2 days of riding. I've never heard anyone who went from another fork to a boxxer say "Gosh I wish I did this sooner". Zero, not one. However, everyone I know who has gone from a boxxer to...ANY OTHER DH FORK has told me how ridiculously stupid they felt for riding a boxxer as long as they did.

However, a boxxer is my all time favorite fork. If you have friends riding them, you've got a VERY good chance of getting a free shuttle driver after 1 or 2 runs!

Yeah the 2010 variant we had one the V-10 blew a seal in one week 1. Replaced seals they last about 3 months. The 2011 fork made it 2 months. Who knows could have both been bad assembly at factory. I will stick with my annual oil change if possible.

I would check the new Marzocchi 650 fork it is supposed to be nice. I do not own an AM bike right now. But would look at Pike, Mattoc, 350 and the DVO that will be out soon as well.

Last season I swapped between Boxxer, 888, and Dorado... Preferred the Boxxer overall...
Some people prefer a Prius (you know the kind of people)

I will take a BMW 335D thanks that gets 42 MPG and runs a 13 second 1/4 mile.

ho ho ho, hee hee. that's a very bold statement with FOX and all the rest...
I heard from numerous E-riders that the Pike ****s (Can I say that ?) over Fox and the rest with its damper charger surly this will pass through to the Boxxer!?!, I hope it does.

Boxxer can't be that bad it just won another Men's Elite World Cup overall and had 11 podiums over the season compared to Fox's 9.

I've had a boxxer I've bought used off Christiaan and it was working great. No seal problems too. But he told me that he taken it to Sram Holand and maybe the Dutch just sparkled it with windmill love or something. I blew a seal only after I bottomed it really hard after 7 months of riding. Not that I haven't seen people with boxxers working like crap. Still it means that the damper design is good, the build quality was the problem.

The only problem I have with RS is the Solo air (thanks to Udi and Steave for pointing out what was exactly the problem). Since it's a really ****ty design.

Not that it changes the fact that I'm not a student anymore and servicing my fork every other weekend is not something I'd like to do.

I don't think using a car that is not that reliable and is very expensive to fix a right anti boxxer example ;) (well unless the newer ones are better)

Cedric Gracia won the Rampage on a gemini. Your argument is invalid.

2015 for the Boxxer with the Charger Damper. I have a 2011 Boxxer with an Avy cartridge and needs very little servicing and will still out perform anything out there.
